Oh, the "not a baby cow" argument...again. OP, others have listed the pros and cons of each and how it works out for them, so you just have to do what works for you. If you like regular milk but not the calories, then try another kind of milk. If that doesn't work out for you, then stay with regular milk and make it fit…

You're ignoring the part in bold. There are a couple men like that in my family, the ones that stare at you like you're a piece of meat, the ones that are too 'touchy-feely'. It's a real thing.
-
That is incorrect. Did you enter your information into MFP so that a number of calories would be suggested for you?
-
Wow, how are you managing on 800 calories? My calories are set to 1873 and I'm losing. Are you pretty tight on weighing your food and everything? 800 is extremely low - I'd imagine you're not getting all the nutrients you should with just 800 calories.

Sounds like you need to steer completely clear of chocolate since it's pretty much 'all or nothing' for you. Aside from that, you just have to practice self-control. Do something that takes your mind off of whatever it is that causes you to decide to eat some chocolate. Clearly it isn't healthiest mindset to have when you…

This has really helped me during my weight loss. In the beginning, it felt like I needed to do everything in accordance to what all the fitness/health articles were advising (i.e. eat 100% clean, exercise every day, do this type of workout, do that type of workout) which made me feel like a failure more times than not. It…

There are no foods that will cause weight loss. Taking in less calories than you burn is what causes weight loss (i.e. eating at a caloric deficit). You can still eat what you normally eat, but in moderation. Be consistent with it and you will lose weight. Good luck!

awesome.

If you aren't hungry, don't worry about eating and meeting that number. The goal is to not go over that number, but don't try to stuff yourself just to meet it. Some days I'm shy a few hundred calories because I'm satiated and don't feel the need to eat. But I think those numbers are about right, for now.

I'm sure you didn't eat enough that week to gain 5lbs of fat. We all struggle with having days where we go over our calorie allotment, but don't let it ruin the entire week. Consistently eating that way will cause problems, however. If I eat over my calories on Monday, then I'm going to eat a little less the next day, or…

People notice that there's a person out on the street running, okay, no big deal. I wouldn't say that they're "paying attention", taking notes. They aren't watching you through binoculars and eating popcorn. Get you some sunglasses, get some music, and get your run on.

Deciding to lose weight and actually doing it is definitely a mental battle, but it can be done. You can't just say "I want to lose weight" and just leave it there. Start by setting small goals, otherwise, it will all seem so overwhelming and you will want to give up. Here are a few suggestions: - If you drink a lot of…

My first thought, too. That way, no explanations are needed should you feel obligated to provide one for some reason.

Well, if your body isn't telling you that it's hungry, I wouldn't worry about it. Sounds like you're worrying about something that hasn't even happened yet, or may not happen.

Really, this doesn't seem to be the best place to deal with what you're dealing with. You're fixated on what happened, which isn't allowing you to move on. Social anxiety and BPD, you may need to speak to a professional. No one here will be able to advise.

Definitely.

Go for it! From personal experience, though, on my very first outdoor run (after I had been running inside and on a treadmill FOREVER), I struggled tremendously because I wasn't use to taking in all that fresh outdoorsy air (I guess ;) ) and couldn't get my breathing under control. By the 4th time, I was a lot better. And…

I finally ran 3.1 miles yesterday...and it was actually pretty fun My furthest distance had been 2.4 miles, but I was determined to finally start getting to that 3 mile mark, and I didn't even feel like dying after I was done :). I decided earlier this week that I want to be a runner, to be one of those people I used to…

Have you actually been logging your foods and keeping track of what you're eating? Weighing your food? Did you put your information into MFP so that it gave you a set number of calories to eat per day, or did you just decide that 2,000 was the limit for yourself? Even if you can't exercise as much as you'd like, or at all,…

Friday- A woman at work that I see maybe once a month asked me if I was losing weight :) :) . Saturday - I got carded when out to dinner this past Saturday :) .

If you don't want to, then...don't. Or if you want to, just don't eat it all. Food is, indeed, delicious and fun to enjoy with others, but if you have goals you're trying to meet and you think snacking too much is hindering your efforts, then perhaps you need to ask yourself if what you're trying to accomplish really all…

Haha...mine, too.

I think she was saying just the opposite of what you're saying (she has "cut out" carbs), but I'll agree with you and say that carbs are a definite staple in my diet :#

I wouldn't take off an entire week. I always feel even more out of shape if I go that long between workouts. How about maybe just an extra couple days in a row? So, in addition to your one off day (let's say it's Sunday), I wouldn't go back to working out until Wednesday.

I understand the hesitation, as I'm introverted and sometimes don't do well with new situations and being around a ton of people I don't know. What got me past all of that was just doing it. I had goals to work towards and wanted to go to the gym to do it, so I had to get over my insecurities and started being more…

Evening is best for me because 1. I'm not a morning person and don't like getting up earlier than I have to 2. there isn't a reason for me not to do so in the evening. Every now and then I'm a little tired after work, but I just ignore it because I'm determined to get the work out in no matter how I'm feeling. Plus, I…

Danskin Now from Walmart (tops starting at around $7 , bottoms starting at around $12), and they're also carrying a line of workout clothes from AVIA that are pretty cute and affordable (can get tops from $6 on up). Even if it's slim pickings at the Walmart you went to, they should still have the basics, no? If you can…

1.Referring to it as a "diet", which (in our society) denotes a temporary way of eating in order to lose weight, and then (after the weight loss has been achieved) going back to eating the same way. This mindset taught me absolutely nothing and I was always impatient and felt deprived and felt sorry for myself...because I…
