Whut. I need carbs in my life because I won't get the nutrients elsewhere? No, I don't need pasta, bread/flour, or sugar. There is absolutely nothing in those items that I need to have. Bunch of nonsense.

What? Just gonna leave this here : https://www.reddit.com/r/ketogains/

People say they would rather eat the calories but its not that much of a difference. 1 scoop of the powder I use is 130 calories and 25g of protein. 3 ounces of chicken breast is 140 calories and 26 grams of protein. It really just comes down to preference. Do you want chicken again or a chocolate shake? Sometimes I pick…

I like Dymatize based on the taste. 25g protein in a scoop!

Its often recommended to start low and go higher if your body tolerates it. I do 20. I use this website to figure out my macros : http://keto-calculator.ankerl.com/ I am currently at 1357 kcal Daily Calorie Intake 20 g Carbs (6%, 80 kcal) 93 g Protein (27%, 372 kcal) 101 g Fat (67%, 905 kcal) This means, aim to hit your…

Are you aiming to just eat lower carbs or do you cap your carbs at a specific number? I do keto. I aim to keep my body in ketosis by eating no more than 20 carbs a day. Others may do 30-40-50 carbs depending on what their bodies can handle. This is what my macros look like: 1357 kcal Daily Calorie Intake 20 g Carbs (6%, 80…

This is actually very true. I eat low carb/keto. These are my ratio's: 1357 kcal Daily Calorie Intake 20 g Carbs (6%, 80 kcal) 93 g Protein (27%, 372 kcal) 101 g Fat (67%, 905 kcal) The aim is to hit the protein goal, stay under the carb goal and eat as much fat that fills you up. But no more than 101g of fat. Fat makes…

I would, however, consider dating someone with a taco cat.

I am going to be honest though what I generally say about this is not popular around here. Oh well. Haters gonna hate. For reference, I have bipolar 2, anxiety, and depression. Bipolar being a mental disorder that essentially makes you have problems regulating moods to the point where you deal with extreme highs and lows…

1 month on keto today and down 13 pounds. Super happy! Always happy to add new friends.
-
You are probably best off adding something thats high in calories to something high in protein. Like, add unsalted butter or olive oil to chicken.
-
1 month in on Keto, 13 pounds down. Would love more friends!

I was doing low calorie for a month or two. I was doing ok. I was loosing weight. But I didn't have the energy I thought I would. I felt ok. Exercise was hard at first, mainly because I have a very large amount to loose. So it definitely resulted in a lot of sore muscles meaning I could't do very much at once. Which was so…

Getting close to a month on keto and couldn't be happier. Mental health issues are improving every day. I am over the moon! Would love some more friends :)

High sugar is definitely worse. Everyone has covered the good fat vs bad fat. Good fats make you feel full and happy with your food. Fat is a good thing and you don't have to avoid it. You want to be conscious of how much you are eating as the calories will add up but good fats should be welcomed with open arms.

lol this guy again. He's got something against low carb. Thus recommends carbs when the OP isn't asking for it. Nuts and some cheeses can be high protein and low sugar. I buy Belgioioso fresh mozzarella and it has 5 grams of protein / 70 calories per ounce.
-
It isn't absurd and you clearly do not know what you are talking about. Fat makes you feel full. You do not need carbs to exclusively fuel you. You also don't need to eat a ton of fat, just enough to make you feel full. There are plenty of people that subscribe to lower fat, lower carb, and higher protein. The fact that…

I eat low carb/Keto (less than 20-30 carbs a day) and personally I have so much more energy than I did when I didn't mind my carbs. Once your body burns through the small amount of carbs you do have, it starts burning fat. I have a ton of energy now!
-
Alternatively you can take magnesium citrate if fermented veggies aren't your thing.
-
And if you keep your carbs low your body burns fat once its through the carbs :) None of this matters if you aren't eating at a calorie deficit.
-
Supplements. Potassium Citrate Powder that can be added to drinks. Also Lite-Salt which contains potassium and salt.

Start weight lifting now not only for the benefits of strength training but because it boosts your metabolism as well.
-
That's not true. You can add strength training under cardio to show calories burned. The strength training section is just for keeping track of your exercises. You can do weight training in place of cardio if you really wanted to. You not only burn calories while lifting, your metabolism gets a boost for the next 24+…

You only got half the story. This is a low carb/Keto thing. When you are eating very low carb, your body is in Ketosis and burns fat instead of carbs. So this drink for a low carber does fill them up and would be a part of the normal fat burning process one in ketosis goes through.

Loving Keto. Here is what I eat a lot of: -Eggs! I like scrambled and deviled. -Bacon with the scrambled eggs -Chicken breast (I cook up a bunch so I have a few days worth) -Salad using baby spinach, usually some chicken, cheese, caesar dressing -Salad using baby spinach, chicken tossed with some buffalo hot sauce, blue…

Keto & loving it.

No,no,no,no! You don't run to your psyc or therapist every single time you desire support. That is not how that works. We have to learn how to be content on our own. Yes, some of that can be worked on through therapy but a desire to have a place to discuss issues with folks that are having the same problems can be…

600-700 calories a day? That is insane. Totally insane. I don't care if a doctor said this is ok, it really isn't. You want to do this for a few months? Good god. Then diet the "normal" way? So like double or triple your calories at that point? You are better off making reasonable changes to your current diet that you can…

6 ounce sirloin steak, blue cheese & heavy cream sauce, spinach. Keto life!
