Congratulations on your success! If my friends get this way, just remember that you're probably a lot more satisfied with yourself then they are, and their comments are probably stem from jealousy and not apathy towards your success. One thing to consider, if they aren't being supportive, are they really friends?

From the second you start losing weight, and you look in the mirror suddenly you don't feel as huge as you were, even if you're just 1kg down

Congratulations! Merry Christmas :)

Welcome to day 1 of the rest of your life! :)

Christmas eve we usually have a huge buffet of terribly unhealthy but amazingly delicious food. We changed it up this year, and decided to be healthy this year and had a nice lamb meal. Tomorrow (christmas dinner), it's salmon and prawns B)

Holiday periods are hard for EVERYONE. Don't worry, it's nearly over and the new year (and your new mindset) is on the horizon!
-
Definitely think I forgot to take time out for myself this year...
-
The same as you, but losing weight is my primary goal (obviously equal to being healthy). Yes! I've never noticed how little energy I actually had until I began my healthy eating again.

I guess one thing to do would be to learn to keep your motivation within yourself, and don't rely on others for motivation. First time I lost weight I relied heavily on my PT brother, but then he moved out of home and bam I had no one to monitor me. What's your goal? :)

Hi! Welcome to MFP! I feel the exact same. I can tell my friends that I've walked 6KM and in a good calorie deficit, and they'll respond with "Oh then have a beer!!!!!!!!!!"...maybe not.

If you ever want to talk, remember we're all here for you....good days and bad days :)

In a twisted way, I'm fortunate enough to have been dumped over the holidays, so I'm determined to stay on track over christmas  Having lost a huge amount before, I'm dreading the inevitable moment when about three weeks time when I need to intensify to keep losing a good amount. Have we all been enjoying the holiday…

This is why I love this community, lots of amazing people like yourself to keep you motivated!

Honestly food is my absolute favourite thing in the world. When I go out, for me the event is the food, not the people or whatever we're doing.

I know exactly what you mean. I work at Subway, and get there at 5AM and don't leave till 2:30PM pretty much 4 times a week. I often forget to take food (and even then, it's hard to bring that much food to work), so as much as I try not to eat subway, 9 hours there with no food...I'm dying by the end of it if I don't.
