  • I’m so proud of you for being a mother to 5 and at the same time working on your Master’s Thesis AND getting up and running some days! Wow—you must be a very organized and discipline person to accomplish what you are doing! I agree with the earlier posts, go for just a very small reduction in calories. Even slow progress…
  • I had a failure last night, but I learned two things: I shouldn’t keep peanut butter in the house, and I need to go up to a 1400 calorie goal because I was too hungry at about 1260. OK. Now I forgive myself and start fresh! Hope everyone has a successful day with both their eating plan and exercise!
  • So glad you are starting with me and the others new to the MFP community boards. The amount of weight doesn’t really matter. All any of us can do is focus on meeting our goals one day at a time. July will come whether we’re at our current weight or a healthier weight, so let’s all focus on helping each other do this! You…
  • Also want to thank each person who so kindly friended me. This is my first time on the Community boards and I don't even know how to friend someone. But I'm grateful for each one of you!
  • Wishing each of you success for today. I have my Fitbit on and I'm aiming for 5 miles covered today as well as doing a lower body resistance workout. Most of all, by God's grace, I'm going to log everything I put into my mouth and stay to my calorie goal! All each one of us has to do, is to do it just today!
  • Count me in! I just re-started February 19th after well over a year of going headlong in the wrong direction. I have roughly 30 lbs. to lose. I just started also with a Fitbit and my goal is to cover 5 miles a day (I didn't hit my goal yesterday, but I reached 4 miles which is a start!). Walking is my main exercise, but I…
  • You have been through some rough waters! Congratulations for having the inner strength to start back again. I know you will succeed. Anyone who can get through what you have already gone through will surely achieve your goals in this area too. Be patient and kind to yourself! Wishing you great success and happiness along…
  • Just starting with MFP and community support (after failing almost every day since January 2nd!) with 32 lbs. to lose. I’m also going to start to track my steps. I’ve a long history of using food for comfort and emotional situations (including making a mountain of Mac & Cheese to deal with the sadness and even anger over…
