There are usually a bunch of free Kindle keto cookbooks. Downside is, some of them are complete jokes (like relabeled gluten-free cookbooks that should come with insulin pens), but there are often good ones as well. Some people here have liked cookbooks by George Stella, and they're well-rated at Amazon. Eating Stella…

And your knowledge of how lipids roam the keto desert until your weight has stabilized. My hero!

Hmm. I think Kresser is recommending intermittent eating for diabetics with cortisol dysregulation... I'd be curious whether this is a quick repair or a part of long-term maintenance.

Hmm. I'm guessing that the market will lead the popular mind-shift, the potential mass-market revenue from "personalized" nutrition, health, and wellness being enormous. There are other economic interests besides food that may stand to benefit from healthier, more engaged populations (medical technology, insurance,…

I used too many *kitten* words!

Haha, I'm out of the mod biz, but there were no surprises that I recall (sorry to say!).

Anyone interested in Feldman's fascinating research on nutrition and lipids might enjoy reading Michael Eades' recent thoughts. The comments to Eades' article have replies by both Eades and Feldman. Highly recommended! https://proteinpower.com/drmike/2017/07/25/how-to-lower-your-cholesterol/ And here's Feldman's website:…

I wish it had been laid out as LCHS, or maybe "Salty Keto," to de-emphasize dietary fat (thereby emphasizing dietary protein) and remind folks about getting enough sodium. It might have saved me some LBM and a couple weeks of living in Zombieland.

Hmm. Depends what your goal is. ?? For a good intro to LC, I still like Phinney and Volek's books. The more technical ones are Art & Science of Low Carbohydrate Living and Art & Science of Low Carbohydrate Performance. They are loaded with facts and insights. However, the simplified New Atkins for a New You is a great…

@baconslave for LP.

@skymningen, your insights as an insider are appreciated. I'm (mostly) all ears.

Par for the weedy course, I suppose.

Thanks for the ref - lots of good stuff at that site.

I would.... but I don't want to turn to stone. Is it bad? I also don't do "news." Is Oz the official MD of the White House yet? That's it from Ostrichville.

Either LC or Tapeworm Diet, I would bet.

They do. I no longer really notice the change. However, the emails I send after it kicks in tend to lack vowels and resemble Czech proverbs.

Sounds like it's working out, even if you're not a cheap date (yet). What sort of concoction(s) did your bartender create?

Great video! Thx for posting.

You can if your stomach can tolerate it. GI peace was one of the advantages of switching to brand name Glucophage XR (the other being lower BG). If you've never had GI discord from meyformin, you might give it a try, perhaps starting with half a tablet. (Hypoglycemia should not be a concern.)

Hmm. Are you suggesting that sugar and stevia won't cause cravings but Splenda will?
