About to start W4D1 tonight. 4 minute run! EEP!!
-
Being the same size as I think I am. Being able to hike all day without the knowledge that I'm metaphorically carrying my dog around in extra weight (I can replace that weight with actual camping gear, instead! YAY!!!)

Saskatchewan, Canada. Relaxing after a busy work day and considering whether to go for a run and then bake some plain chips... Or bake some chips and then go for a run lol
-
Right on! I hope I get to that point some day!

MFP goes a long way to keeping you on track. It motivates you to focus on your goal and rewards you with a sneak peak at your future self when you succeed. Start logging your food and collect friends if you need some external support. You won't be disappointed (coming from someone who has also been a chubster for 10 years).

Failed to set my alarm clock for this morning and didn't get my exercise in. Thought it would fudge up my whole day and cause me to overeat. Stayed within my calorie goal and snuck in some light yoga tonight instead. Going to bed very happy with my day.

This. Step on it a couple times and take the most common output.

I don't find the advice or opinions to be nasty, just the off topic back and forth quibble about who is and is not being nice/supportive/offensive/blah/blah. It's very tedious when people bicker pointlessly over differing perceptions. I equate it to two colourblind people arguing about whether or not a shirt is green or…

You could do that. Or you could anticipate the office treats and 'bank' calories in order to indulge in moderation now and then. As long as your weekly deficit is in check and you're not consistently going below a healthy intake level it doesn't really matter when exactly you eat the calories.
-
I haven't read most of the posts because they seem quite nasty but I thought I'd add my two cents anyway. @hbb86, my mum used to suffer from anorexia. She had a habit of eating less than 1200 calories a day and it caused a lot of permanent damage to her digestive tract, including severe IBS and certain food intolerances…
-
@hbb86 just be sure that you're mind is in the right place. It's important that you enjoy your journey and don't burn out before the finish line. If you're confident that you can maintain your deficit and are equally happy whether you do or do not achieve your goal then absolutely go for it! No, 2.2lbs isn't an excessive…

If I stuck to my current trend I would lose 45kg in 30 weeks (in theory) . So far I've been very happy with my calorie allowance and feel completely sated, full of energy, and healthier than I was before. I personally wouldn't do this aggressive of a plan for longer than 3 weeks at a time, though.
-
I would divide your deficit by how many days are between now and your vacation and increase by that amount each day until you reach maintenance.

Almonds. Every night. I have a fairly aggressive goal so every night, after I've decided that I'm not hungry anymore, I calculate how much of my deficit I still need to eat and dish that amount out in almonds. They're yummy, full of good fats and protein, and don't fill me up at all.

Get a calendar. Write your current weight today, your goal weight the week before your vacation then figure out how much you need to lose per week to achieve it. Write down a weekly goal weight to reach every Friday and work towards that number rather than your end goal (bearing in mind that weight loss isn't linear. Don't…

Makes me really grateful of the fact that I only drink water anyway.

Hahaha!

Ditch all your friends, move out into the middle of nowhere 100km from the nearest city, and hide away in your house like a crazy hermit.... .... .... That's what I did...

I was about to suggest Sebhorreic Dermatitis (which is what I have in chronic form). It's an itchy, flaky fungal infection that can affect the scalp, eyebrows, ears, etc. I even got it around my eye once. :( The only problem is that you've said that showering exacerbates the issue which is the opposite effect that it has…

Refrained from second helpings at lunch (even though I really wanted it).

Honey, I feel your pain but the only person who can help you is you. If you really want this you need to be strong. Find courage from within- not MFP, your boyfriend, or anyone else- or you'll never succeed. I can tell you from my own experience, however, that it gets easier with time. I'm a compulsive eater who started…

Congrats @Lallen377 and @Jdavis3111 ! Today was my day off. I finished my first full T25 workout and DIDN'T binge despite being inside with nothing to do all day.
-
Easy for me but then I work at home. No meal prep needed. I would go for a run.

So long as a person remembers to put gym clothes in their car lol good on you!
