Just came across this today, I'm in for 500 miles for April. In March I hit 548 miles cycling, 613 miles total, including rowing and hiking.

I have lost 5 lbs over the last 3 months and I am very happy with my results, as I have also lost 2 inches in my waist, firmed up my muscle tone, increased my cardio capability by leaps and bounds, and my wife thinks I'm "hot" again, lol! I guess it is all relevant, sometimes you have to look at more than the scale. Hang…

Thanks everyone for your response, like others have said, I will trend it over the next few weeks and use it more as a general trend. The scale was provided for free through my healthcare plan at work otherwise I don't believe I would have purchased it. It consistently shows about a 0.4lb difference from my last scale…

There are a lot of reasons not to drink diet sodas, or any sodas on a regular basis. There are a number of peer reviewed studies out now that have shown that artificial sweeteners trigger insulin, which sends your body into fat storage mode and leads to weight gain and is associated with an increased risk of type 2…

My name is the same on Garmin Connect: Interbeing Please feel free to add me as well. I have been using a Garmin Edge 500 since 2013 and love it. Got the Vivofit last August and it really compliments the Edge.

I start my day at 4:45am with a 30 minute dumbbell workout, and follow it up with a protein drink, and water. If anything, I feel more energized, and rarely have trouble with fatigue at work. I try to get at least 6 hours sleep a night and also have a full breakfast once I get to work at 6:00.

I would like to welcome you, and introduce myself. I am a 57yo recreational cyclist, recently recovered from a cycling injury that took me off the bike for 6 months, and then had a difficult time getting back into riding again. Just prior to my accident, I was up to just over 1000kms a month, now at 500 to 600kms. I use…

I believe it depends on what other products you may use. I have an older Garmin Vivofit, which I purchased because of the familiarity and integration with Garmin Connect as I also use Garmin's Edge 500. It syncs well with other products, and because I only use it to track my steps and sleep, it works for me. I believe you…
