  • Mine also works some days but not others and there doesn't seem to be any pattern to it. Yesterday was fine. It synced all day long with last sync at 9:29 pm last night. Then sync this morning at 12:13am and nothing more since that. I've sent a reply email to MFP every day it's not working. I wish they'd at least post it…
  • It worked fine yesterday when it had not worked for 5 days. Then today, same issue. Yesterday's steps are there for today, TDEE calculated based on sync at 12:15am with no updates since then.
  • Everything worked great yesterday. TDEE updated based on sync from Fitbit all day long. Steps updated correctly. Then today, the issue is back. Sync at 12:15 am calculated TDEE but no update since then and yesterday's steps are listed for today. I don't know why it worked for one day...then broke again. I have been sending…
  • If Strava will link to Fitbit then I would think that is the way to go and NOT link Strava to MFP. I use MapMyRide for biking rather than using the gps in my Fitbit but there is no way to connect MapMyRide to Fitbit so I have to connect it to MFP. The ride does then show up in Fitbit as an exercise for the day with a time…
  • There is also an issue with calories burned in Fitbit not syncing to MFP after early am time so no exercise is transfered for the whole day from Fitbit to MFP.
  • MFP says it is at Fitbit end and that Fitbit is aware of the issue and working on it.
  • Apparently, MFP says the issue is at the Fitbit end and they are aware and are working to fix.
  • Same issue this morning. MFP says Fitbit has 1300 cal burned as of 7:45am where my Fitbit app lists about 485. Also did a disconnect reconnect hoping it would re-sync properly.
  • Does your Inspire track active minutes? You might consider using that feature as a goal to monitor your activity rather than steps. You didn't have that option with the zip but that might be an option for you with the Inspire. It might only give active minutes after 10 minutes but your 30 minute walk should certainly get…
  • Do you have MFP set to sedentary and use Fitbit for all exercise logging? The Fitbit will give you calorie credit even for non-exercise calories but if you have MFP set to active then it thinks you haven't burned enough even sleeping. Essentially MFP compares its calories to the Fitbit report so if MFP estimate is too high…
  • I vote with the weight tracking app supporters. I have found Libra extremely helpful to let me know if my few high days are a trend toward gain vs just spurious data points. My trend line stayed between 132 and 133 for over a year despite occasional "high days" but in January I saw that the trendline was shifting to upward…
  • Since I recently had a physical, I can honestly answer that "my doctor is thrilled" which usually shuts up most people. In fact I am right where the doctor told me me wanted me years ago. I usually preface it with "I'm not sick" since some friends worried that I had some medical issue that caused the loss and they are…
  • Woman age 62, current height 5'6" SW: 171 in Dec 2015. In my life I've been as high as 190. Currently maintaining at weight range 136-140. Back in my late 20's when I was at my fittest and at a height of 5' 7.5" I weighed 133-136. I'd like to get back to that range but will do it very slowly with just 100 calorie deficit…
  • If you search for "calories in 39g of sweet corn" you get a comparable value to the canned label from that same site that gave you the 147 calories when you searched. Searching for "calories in 39g of corn" gives you the 147 calories in "white corn" which I suspect is actually not the same variety and might even be waxy or…
  • My daughter is extremely lactose intolerant and she swears by plain unsweetened almond milk. She also relies on products labeled vegan and says that Ben and Jerry even has some great vegan options. You should also learn the various kosher symbols put on food labels since if they don't have a D then there is definitely no…
  • Also, pay attention to whether you are weighing before or after cooking compared to the entry in the database. I always specify cooked or raw when looking up a food to enter since 4 oz raw might be 3.2 oz cooked. I agree with the "weigh in grams" comment.
  • MFP might change it if you log more than 10 lbs lost but you can just reset it to the value you want OR just don't log new weights into the program and keep track of your weight elsewhere (or at doc office). If you don't change your weight, MFP won't change your calorie goal.
  • I became a WW lifetime member back in 1990 when they were still using exchanges (breakfast was 1 bread, 1 milk, 1 fruit) and I've been on and off all of their programs over the years since then as I've needed to get back to goal weight. I will agree that this new points system they have is terrible and I have used former…
