Reading/Cardiff/Yorkshire - wahay! Lots of us Brits around

Very happy!

Unfortunately not - and that was the reason we went - 4 nights on the trot - not a sausage - it is a stunning island though!

I'm guessing that was for Heidi too, as quite frankly I was freezing (it was Iceland after all) lol

You ha ha!

Thanks guys and yeah as much encouragement as we can all get is always useful! Weight loss probably means more for us cyclists than any other sport, we all want to be great climbers - I did make it down to 70Kg back in 2009 (I'm 5' 8") and it was a dream - I started the year at 95Kg being the last up the climb - and…

Oh and I can totally get the sagging breasts comment - shame I'm a bloke

What she said! Enjoy the sushi! Remember, don't kill yourself - life is for living - all about balance!

Absolutely - but I would remove the bristles first - and have an extra strong mint
-
Of course - but I'm a bit bristly at the moment (is that even a real word?)

Yup also in the UK - so plenty of us on here and some guys and girls with some great stories and a lot of helpful guidance too - as well as some really great motivation - feel free to add me and I can share my "wisdom" ha ha!

Being honest, cut out anything that is refined, so sugar is definitely something to keep to a minimum (I'd never say total because it's all about balance) and focus on wholefoods - plenty of fibre as it fills you up and focus on making sure you combine protein and goods fats with your food - these help keep the insulin…

Best advice is to initially stay away from bars or restaurants or nights out - they can come back in once you've got some momentum going - the temptation initially can be too much - luckily most people are trying to cut out food and/or alcohol this time of year so hopefully that will help. Also whatever you do, don't…

You can do it! And remember no matter how much anyone has to lose we all have times when we find it tough or even give in to temptation - the trick is never to give up - if you fall off - don't quit - get straight back on and back on with the fight to get your life back - once you get so far you'll never, ever look back -…

If you want to get back to it you can - I've had so many come backs it's unbelievable - but the main thing is just to enjoy it - and the rest will come - my friend, who is a coach, always says - consistency is the key - not necessarily quantity but definitely quality. I arguably had my best season at a maximum of 10 hours…

Say "loving the hat!"

Thank you very much, I'm glad to be here!

Best of luck with your journey - from my experience it's not always about how much you eat - it's often what you eat that makes the difference - and exercise for fitness is great - but I haven't found that this is the key to weight loss - hence the "what you eat" comment. I also think, for what it's worth, that it's not so…

I'm in guys - it's about 70lb for me or 30Kg - a mammoth task - but done it before - but need to stop the yo-yo and make the change for life! Yesterday I only ate 850 calories and walked for 2 hours - so net of 250 - need to up my intake before I make myself ill - that's the key I think - slow and steady and enough energy…

Ha ha - definitely :) - whereas anyone who flirts with me is bonkers!
