Trust me, I'm anything but posh, ha ha. I'm from one of the more working class areas of England (my dad was a factory line worker and my mum was a school lunch/dinner lady), and my accent shows it! Luckily, it doesn't come across in my posts

Damn it, I just realised my autocorrect changed a couple of the words in my post! It's a funicular railway, not vernacular!

Ok Team, here we go. Once week to go, and we are.... SIXTY-SIX PERCENT OF THE WAY THERE! We've walked a massive 681.63 miles together, that's 1,536,316 steps - you guys are AMAZING! In terms of where we are, we've walked clear past Liverpool, and are now only a couple of miles from one of my favourite places in the whole…

Here. Nervous as heck as I have a job interview this morning for a role I really want (which prompted me to stress eat last night), but I'm here.
-
I ask myself the same question when I look at how active some folk here are, I'm jealous! I wish I had the time to dedicate to more activity, although after my exam next week (for the current part of my degree), I'll have the summer to get off my butt and get moving.

Ok, if your steps/miles are showing green, then I've tallied them up. I've give it a few more hours before I do the official count, and will post an update in about 8 hours from now....

Back again

Ok, this is the one week warning! Tomorrow will be one week from the end of the challenge, so be sure to add your steps to the spreadsheet, and I'll post a total tomorrow. Happy walking....

I use this pic because I can't stand how I look, which is why I'm here in the first place! Also, there are very few pictures of me in existence, for the same reason. I also use it because there is an amount of anonymity that I want to keep while I'm here, so it can be somewhere that I can talk to people in similar…

I keep bouncing around the 301lbs mark. I get there, and then something happens and I put a couple of lbs on. And then I lose those, get back to 301 and something else happens. I don't know why I have this psychological barrier. Its not physical, I know that, and I desperately want to cross over into the 200s, but I keep…

May 20th, checking in. How exciting  I've not had a holiday for about 12 years, so this is on my to-do list for next year.
-
Checking in. Keeping you and your hubby in my thoughts, Kat.

Ok, here we go, folks.... We crossed the half way line!!! We've walked all the way through Scotland, and have now reached the stunning Durham Cathedral in the north of England. Whether you go to church for services, or are just a big history nerd like me, I think we can all appreciate the beautiful architecture on show…

Of course, Tara, add in as many as you can remember. I'll add everything on and post a total in a bit...
-
Ok folks, get your steps updated, as I'll be adding these up in a few hours and seeing where we've got to.....

Here :)

These are a couple of pics from my walk on Saturday. I hope to do a similar walk (although maybe I'll keep it to 10 miles!) in the next couple of weeks.
-
Hi Clarissa, nice to see you back  I had a similar few weeks, and am working to get back to where I was. Great to see us all getting back on that horse again, though. Strength in numbers  Oh, and I'm here (obvs, haha).

Checking in, and now its back to essay writing.....

Wow, that scenery is beautiful! You have totally earned a day off too, well done Laura  I only took a couple of pics on my walk, but I'll try to upload them at some point if I can.

Starting weight: 330 This morning: 301 Total loss 29lbs After a few weeks where I put at least 6lbs on (possibly a lb or two more, I refused to weigh myself for at least ten days), I'm back where I was, which I'm really pleased about. Putting weight on takes so little time, taking it off is somewhat less easy! Two more…

That's awesome Laura, well done  I can't believe I managed it, and wasn't dead at the end! I think I've shocked myself into understanding that I can do this! Let us know how tomorrow goes for you, and how your legs feel in the morning. I get the feeling mine are gonna be complaining something awful! I think I'd…

Its 15th April here in the UK now (12.24am). I'm checking in now before I got to bed, because I'm going to have a long lay in tomorrow, and then will be writing a very dull essay when I get up.

I am thoroughly pooped. I went out for a walk with a friend from work (who's fit, and the perfect weight for her height). We had planned a 6 mile walk. We got a bit lost, and ended up walking just about 14 miles. I feel physically ok, but my feet hate me right now. They were ok until we hit a gravel track, and that was…

Oooh, I love any reason to post a happy dance! When you hit it, let us know

Mid-week update time! So, in 11 days, we have covered a grand total of 298.97 miles! That's 30% of the whole target! We've reached Edinburgh, a scenic and historical city. Is anyone brave enough for a stroll round the Edinburgh Dungeons?....

Yay, go Jess!
