I like them and don't get any gastro distress from them, so I eat them from time to time. If I'm looking to boost protein, though, i grab a Premier Protein shake (160 cals, 30 g protein, 1 g sugar)

My go-to meal is Skinny Mom's sour cream chicken enchiladas (which sound, and taste, much more sinful than they are!) Not sure if they'd be great for a toddler, but I'm sure your husband would approve!

Always looking for new friends to support on here! My ultimate goal is to lose somewhere between 40-60 pounds (depending on how I feel when I get there) and FINALLY be able to keep it off!

I've been here for a bit, but always looking for new friends to support! My ultimate goal is somewhere in the 40-60 range (depending on how I feel when I get there!), so we're in a similar place!

Keep at it. Are you eating back your exercise calories? Keep in mind that 1200 calories is the minimum of what you need to get your nutrients (absent a doctor's plan that would account for a lower calorie intake), and 1200 should be a goal, not a limit. Are you eating a good balance of healthy fats, protein, and carbs? If…

I plan out my meals and buy the appropriate quantity of food each week. I don't partake in the free food in the office (I don't even look at it when it's out).

Any flavor of La Croix!

Welcome! You made a great decision by taking control of your health and coming here. Don't be ashamed -- be proud that you recognize a need for a change. With diligent work, you'll get to that size 8!
-
I'm here every day! Feel free to add me!

I work out in the mornings -- I'm there by 530. It's easier for me to go and get it done in the morning than convincing myself to go after sitting in the afternoon traffic. It does wake me up more and, oddly, keeps hunger at bay for me (which is the opposite of what it does for most people, I've learned!). All in all, it's…

Unrealistic goals set you up for disappointment. Focus on exercise and eating well and you will lose 4-8 pounds before your cruise.

You can pre-log, you can use the app on your phone, you can make time to use the computer platform. There are so many ways to do it, you just need to commit!
-
You're in the right place to get back on track!

Even if you aren't in the 130 range by that time, you will still have significant weight loss. I try hard not to put an end-goal number with a date, and rather want to focus on healthy steps to get to my ultimate goal weight. Whether you lose 50 or 70 pounds by then, the difference will be noticeable, and commendable. Try…

Total guess. I use a HRM to estimate calories burned, and even then, I try not to eat them all back to give myself some wiggle room.

Try not to overeat too much, and get to the hotel gym when you're on vacation. A splurge is fine, but don't use vacation as a chance to torpedo all the work you've done! There's nothing wrong with ordering a salad on vacation instead of a calorie-laden dish. Plus, I imagine you'll be sightseeing and walking around quite a…

It's water retention. Everyone bloats up a bit during their cycle, and extra exercise will also cause you to retain more water. Keep drinking water (counter-intuitive, I know) and it'll all work itself out. Your weight fluctuates a ton on any given day (some people see variances of 5-10 pounds!), so don't stress yourself…

Almost all (if not all) of these pills are not worth the money or the health risks. If it were, people wouldn't be using sites like MFP. The only way to get rid of those stubborn fat cells is to diligently keep at your weight loss with good eating and exercise habits.
-
No. No no no. Even if they DID work (which they don't), do you want to be dependent on pills for your health? Eat less and move more, and you will get to your goal weight without any hinky side effects. I'd personally rather have a slower weight loss progress than poo my pants at work because of diet pills!
-
I'd recommend preparing your lunch the night before (or in the morning before work) so you know exactly what you're eating. You can make a healthy wrap in less than 5 minutes!
-
My goal is 50-60, or whenever I feel happy with myself -- whichever comes first! Add me if you'd like some encouragement along the way! :)

28 -- so I'm old for the young board, but young for the old boards!
-
I think I ended up around maintenance, but definitely drank a lot more alcohol than I usually do. I don't weigh in too often, so hopefully anything gained will disappear by my next weigh-in, and, if not, I'll just work harder!

I wanted to like it so badly, but I couldn't. After 3 days, the diet was killing me (tracking "4 greens" and "3 yellows" was much more difficult for me than counting calories on here). Then my DVDs stopped working. I took it as a sign to quit. But I've had friends who lost 10-20 pounds on it (heavier to start) and love it!

I'm glad you're getting checked out. In the meantime, sit on the edge of a chair, engage your core, and do air punches. You can still really ramp up your heartrate in some modified exercises!

These posts frustrate me. We're all mostly here because at some point, we overate enough that we need to make solid changes to fix this bad behavior. If you ate 900 calories routinely, you wouldn't be here trying to lose weight. Are you getting enough protein? A 3-4 oz portion of meat should give you a 100-300 calories…

Crockpot meals. Prepping in advance. There are lots of easy ways to make healthy meals more convenient. Find simple recipes with healthy, fresh ingredients. I can make a healthy meal in less than half an hour usually, so it doesn't have to be a big production. Don't keep sweets in your house, and you won't be tempted to…

I use a heart rate monitor and manually enter the calorie burn after each workout

I lost 9. I was disappointed that was it, but hey, it's 9 pounds closer to my goal!

Best of luck -- you know what to do, now it's time to buckle down and do it! Together, we'll all tackle this weight! :)
