I'm looking to lose 40-60 pounds and am 8 pounds in. Happy to support anyone else trying to get to their goals!

I eat sushi at least once a week. It fits into my macros, and I've never found it to be high in calories (unless you get the tempura fried ones, of course!).
-
Feel free to add -- I'm here every day!

This is probably too late to help, but avoid the fried stuff (tempuras) and volcano rolls always seem to be higher in calories. If they have stuff with brown rice and/or quinoa, you'll get more nutrients that way (over plain white rice). My sushi go-tos are usually raw tuna rolls or cooked shrimp rolls. Both typically run…

I'm in the same place as you -- both in having no end-goal of a special occasion AND being 5'5" with 40-50ish pounds to go. Feel free to add me if you'd like!

You can add me, too! I'm here every day.

If you feel tired and dizzy, you need to eat more. What did MFP put you at for calories? If they suggested 1200-1400 and it's not working for you, slowly increase up 50 or 100 calories each week until you get to a point where you don't feel crappy!
-
It won't let me add you back! I've missed your comments though!

You can add me too -- I log every day and am here a lot!

Welcome! My goal is somewhere between 40 and 60 pounds. Feel free to add me if you'd like!

I log them, but don't eat back exercise calories unless I'm actually hungry. I calculate exercise calories with a HRM, so more accurately than using the database.

Order a salad, and don't eat the cake. Problem solved. Or, have a small piece of the cake. Just because the food is there doesn't mean you have to eat it!

I find staying on track at work so much easier than being at home. I premake all of my food for the day and can't eat what I don't have. Clean the junk out of your desk snack drawer and keep good snacks! (I have protein bars, fiber one bars for sweet treats, and protein shakes in case I need a boost)

I'm up at 430 to get to the gym before work. It kickstarts my day and means I can devote my afternoons/evenings fully to other commitments.

Chobani Sriracha Mango flips - a nice slightly spicy way to start the week!
-
I think we're in a similar place -- I'll add you! :)

Hot damn, that's a motivational post for sure!! Congrats!

I focus on getting better and not on counting calories. Typically, I eat less when I'm not feeling well anyway, but if I go over because my body needs extra nourishment to fight whatever I'm ill with, I'm not going to stress about it. Health is more important!

Feel free to add me! I'm on here every day!

Feel free to add me! I'm looking to lose somewhere between 40 and 60 pounds (depending on how I feel when I get there!)

Welcome!! I added you!

People ARE supporting you, by offering their advice and encouragement. Maybe you missed all that. No one claimed to be an expert here -- just sharing what has worked for us. It may not be what you want to hear, but it doesn't mean it's unsupportive. An unsupportive perosn would say, "You know what, Changeling, you have an…

My take (which is not based in any sort of science and just works for me) is that if your sugar is all coming from healthy sources (i.e., fruit) and you aren't massively over, and you don't have any compounding medical issues, it's not a huge issue to worry about. I naturally eat lower carbs (I don't care for breads,…

All treats in moderation. I had ice cream the other night after dinner. It fit in my macros and I wanted it! But it's not an every day thing. If I pass on everything I want all the time, one day I'll just eat it all at once and torpedo all the work I've been putting in.

I love your positivity! Feel free to add me!

I hear you -- I've been here before, and I'm back again. This time, I'm committing to actually keeping the weight off and being successful. Feel free to add me!

Always happy to have new friends on here! Feel free to add me!

Always happy to have new friends on here! I lost 40 pounds a few years ago but somehow, it came back (who am I kidding, I know exactly how it came back...cheese, wine, and not enough exercise!). My goal is 40-60 pounds this time around, and to actually keep it off. Feel free to add me!
