Juicing for 30 days is going to set you up for failure, especially when you're coming from a place of eating SO much, SO often. The best thing to do is to eat within your calorie goals and get some extra exercise every day. You can lose 100 pounds, but it's going to take dedication. It's not going to be easy, but it's…

You have to start somewhere! Walking is a great way to start getting into exercise. Do what you can, and gradually increase either speed or distance (or both!) as you can. Make sure you're diligent with weighing foods and eating below your calorie goal if you can't exercise. Like a PP said, it's all about the calorie…

Great news! I love getting to the gym in the mornings.

If her program doesn't work for you, it doesn't work. I'd never agree to a diet where I couldn't have a glass of wine or ice cream. I keep my treats within my macros and calorie goal. This should be a lifestyle adjustment for you. If what you're doing isn't sustainable for the long term, it just won't work. That's why a…

Eat in moderation, under your calorie goal, and exercise. Don't set unreasonable expectations for yourself! Aim for 1-2 pounds per week. Anything more than that is going to set you up for failure.

Whenever I feel tempted to give up, I think of all the mornings I've gotten up at 430 to go to the gym. I don't want to stuff my face and make all that effort a waste!
-
Don't add them if you don't want to eat them back or pay attention to them. I add them in case I am hungry later, but I tend to not eat them back. I like the flexibility that if I'm hungry after a big workout day, I can fit some extra food into my day without going over too much!

I think you're doing all you really can. Unless you prepare your lunch at home and bring it, you never really know how much you're truly eating. If it's been working for you thus far, your estimates can't be that bad!
-
Actually making it to the gym before work every day for 3 weeks!
-
I always workout on an empty stomach -- mostly because I'm at the gym around 5 every day and don't want to get up earlier to eat. It doesn't bother me, and I have breakfast shortly after I get to work.

I log breakfast and lunch in the morning, because I pre-pack everything. I guess on what I'm having for dinner. At the end of the night, I make sure to edit and make everything accurate for the day.

Not to beat a dead horse, but none of them are worth it. If they worked, do you think there would be a need for a site like MFP? Everyone would buy the magic pill and the weight would fall off. The cost of these pills, which really do nothing except maybe get you jittery from all the caffeine, is a waste of money and they…

If your BMI is truly morbidly obese, 1200 is probably too drastic of a cut for you and you will end up sabotaging yourself. What did MFP put you at when you entered your current height and weight? I would guess that it's higher. I'm at 1500 calories per day to lose 1 pound/week, and my BMI is not morbidly obese. I also…

I prefer mornings, but the best time to go is whenever you can make the time!
-
No. No no no no no. Also, no. Think about it -- if they actually worked, would there be thousands upon thousands of people using sites like MFP?

You can only do as well as you can. I try to be as accurate as possible, but when eating out, I pretty much assume I'm going to be way over on calories. To compensate, I lengthen any workouts on that day and drink lots of water, but in the end, I enjoy it and move on.

This happens to everyone! Some people fluctuate 5-10 pounds in a day! My advice is to consistently weigh at the same time, but know that there's always going to be some variation in your weight.

Are you measuring food with a food scale? Are you exercising a lot? There are lots of factors that can play into this answer...

That person who takes the treadmill next to me when there are a million other ones open. I've been tempted to actually stop my workout and move two treadmills over to make the point.

Is this person feeling good at 1600 and losing weight? If they're not tired/grouchy/always hungry at 1600, then I'd say to stay there. Sorry I can't be more help -- for whatever reason, I'm having a really hard time following this post.

Theoretically, yes, but if you eat 1200 calories of cheetos and nothing else, your macros will be in the toilet and your overall health will be on the downswing as well. You can fit non-nutritious food in your diet, but make sure that they're treats, and not all you're eating. For example, I had Easter candy last night for…

Their website posts nutrition facts about each individual type of donut. Apparently, a traditional glazed donut 190 calories -- but the delicious looking Oreos Cookies and Kreme is over 400 (not surprising). I'm so glad I don't like donuts!

Welcome back!

I'm looking to lose 40-60 pounds, depending on how I feel when I get there. I'm active and on here every day, and would love some more active friends with similar goals! :)

I'd need more information to be useful. How long have you been on a plateau? How long have you been trying to lose weight? What's your weight now? Goal weight? Are you hitting your macros?

Do you stretch before and after your workouts? That could be an easy solution to tight muscles! You can also add in an extra round of stretching before bed to make sure everything is loosened up. It may also help to rotate muscle groups -- arms day, chest day, back day, leg day, and throw abs in there as much as you can!…

Don't lose motivation! It's going to take time to lose the weight, but you'll get there! The support on this site always keeps me going when I start to fall off the wagon. Feel free to add me if you want an extra cheerleader!

I fit it in my macros. Last night I had Cadbury mini eggs, and they were delicious.

I was so overwhelmed and frustrated by the container system that I lasted two days. I enjoyed the workouts for those two days, but then my DVD started skipping and I took it as a sign that this wasn't the program for me. I'd much rather weigh my veggies on a food scale than try to cram as many as possible into whatever…

Wine. I still have it occasionally when I can fit it in my macros, but I definitely drink far less than I used to. Which is good all around, I suppose!
