Why oh why would you want to do this for any amount of time? Insulin spikes and sheer lack of energy and hangriness would make me murderous.

Looking pretty shredded already.

This right here. I avoided milk for so long that my body has become intolerant at my age. Small bits of milk are OK but ice cream sends my digestive track through the ringer. I use almond milk in my smoothies. Plus I seem the protein I get from one cup to be too little to actually benefit me lol. I can have protein and…

Its hard to say without seeing what your putting in. Definitely would need more info.

the way it was explained to me, and as I mentioned I wasnt sure how much truth there was to that was to do cardio a totally seperate time of day from your strength training. Now I am trying to pack on muscle so running after would just keep burning more fat when that isn't my goal anymore. Yes I know you shouldnt do cardio…

Cardio after strength training is counterproductive I've been told. Not sure how much truth there is to that. I was told to do cardio at a separate time al together from strength training. I weight train 5 days a week. I'm sweating like a pig generally throughout the whole time. But I'm lifting to add muscle/definition and…

If you are working out maybe you need to make sure you get to that calorie in goal. If you're properly hydrated and starving maybe you just need to listen to your body? Eating late at night has no bearing on ability to lose weight despite what so many people said. Mediterranean people don't eat dinner till late and there…

I was told to do a couple more reps on my week leg by my doctor to try and build it up to the same as my right. I had an ACL repair

SW 152 at my most last year CW 136 GW 128 or whatever I get too, this number doesn't actually matter to me A much as I want to fit into my clothes and be lean and strong. So this number may actually go back up! Almost 40 and 5'6 & a 1/2

And please feel free to add me as a friend. I would love to have more MFP who are active with the app and life to help motivate each other.

I make my own and drink it black because there's next to zero calories haha. I used to drink Tims 2 milk 2 honey because I hated the aftertaste of splenda and figured honey is a natural source of sugar and is better for you. Now when i taste it my jaw instantly twinges its so sweet. And dont even get me started on cream in…

Havent read a scholarly article yet which I am always on the hunt for. I tend to take Muscle Mag or Fitness Magazines with a grain of salt. What works for one might not necessarily work for another as well. For me it would just enable me to have that cheat meal and be able to rationalize it. But if I do find anything I…

Ive spoken to my doctor about this. I weight train 5 days a week and am trying to put on muscle mass. I have tried lower protein amounts and never could put on much muscle. This has helped me to shed the last 10 pounds i wanted to and to add some muscle on that i couldn't before.

Lol that's all I have been doing since January 6th. It's easy now. Or I should say getting easier to hit my goals.
-
Following this. I struggled with protein too but I have three meats a day almost and three shakes a day plus 3 snack meals to make my protein goal of 140grams a day.

I read an article today about cheat meals giving your metabolism a kickstart again because it's foods and or minerals proteins etc that your body might not be getting. Was in a muscle fitness mag. Personally I allow myself a cheat meal but I make it fit into my day if I can. There's been the odd occasion, wedding and…

I tend to do shakes mixed with whole fruit or water at the gym or after. I only eat a bar if I'm at let's say hockey away and there's no healthy option. Bars are generally more calorie dense than a shake. I can have a shake and salad and still have carbs available for let's say a piece of fruit later.

So I have a few more pounds to go till desired weight loss. So for now keep doing what I'm doing and then once I achieve desired weight I'll just eat more on work out days. I've been on fitness plans before but my daily calories were higher and I can't remember if I ate back calories or not it was so long ago. Just wanted…

I wanted to lose 10 pounds and inches. I started in January on the 6th. I am happy with the weight loss and now just want to tone and build muscle lose inches. A trainer instructed me not to track exercise on mfp because it would mess up the macro tracking.

you are just concrete proof for everyone who ever had self doubt that if you want something bad enough you can do it.
-
I don't add any calories back in. I work out about 4 days a week maybe 5. It fluctuates based on my schedule. I eat a daily amount and have lost 8 lbs since January 6. I'm curious too about eating back calories. Some days I meet all my macro goals and some days not. Keep up the good work though

hormones, water weight, etc. all good advice here.
-
Could also be hormonal. I tend to gain about 3 lbs of water weight during my cycle.

were you drinking alcohol too? Alcohol puts a huge dent on your metabolism. So if you had a bad weekend with processed food, high in sodium and add some liquor to that you need a few days more than just two to get back on track. Drink extra water, normal portions and tracking and give yourself till next week to see. Good…

I find this very interesting because your bodies metabolic state changes when you eat regularily. Every time I have started training and consulted with trainers, dieticians etc I have been told that you need to eat regularly spaced out meals and snacks, at least every 3 to 4 hours for your body to keep its metabolism…

Ok lets stop and step away from the scale and look at the muscle to fat content of your body. Are your clothes fitting better. Do you feel more energy, sleeping better. When my numbers dont move I look at the others so I don't get discourage. :)

I just started at the beginning of January and have lost 7 lbs so far. Just from tracking my intake meticulously since then. I hadnt been able to add in the gym till recently so that's predominantly from smart food choices, portion control and measuring. Good luck, stay strong!
