My best advice for sugar is that if you know you have a problem with it, make rules for yourself that make it something you eat less. I no longer am allowed to buy sugary items on our weekly shopping trip, if I want something I have to plan a special trip which I hate because I don't like to go to the store more than once…

I do not believe the pill has any impact on my weight, save for the water weight I gain with my cycle that leaves me the week after.

I chose to cut them almost entirely, because I am trying to learn about what my body actually needs. Yes I could lose weight with just a calorie deficit and eating meals of just carbs and sugar. But that's now what I want. What I want is a healthy body that's capable of gaining strength and losing fat along the way. It was…

You can make butter fit if it's something you really enjoy and it's the only way you like certain veggies. For me, veggies are either in a sauce such as a marinara or Alfredo (a light version) or stir fry sauce; or they're very well spiced. You can try a whipped butter that's lighter but if you're looking for lifelong…

I was going to say I've lost more than 10lbs recently, from Feb to now, and it hasn't prompted me at all. Could be because I'm heavier and have further to go, but I'd check it for yourself sometimes, don't rely on the app to do it for you.

Oh yes, and acknowledging this fact has helped me a ton. Does a toddler like to hear no? Nuh uh! But does the toddler still have to deal with the limitations imposed?? You bet! So I just talk to that inner tantrum thrower and tell her to stfu.

I practice healthful "cheating", no more than one item I consider cheating. If you let yourself eat off plan for every meal you could be wiping out your deficit and setting yourself back. One meal is my limit. This past weekend it was a dinner out for our anniversary, I had a burger and fries and one martini. I think you…

I don't have PMS, never have had issues PRE- period it's always while I'm ON my period and I do indeed feel irritable and hungry and bloated. It doesn't stop for me until a few days after it ends. Currently on the worst day of my cycle, days 2 and 3 are the rough ones. I just power through and practice self care. An extra…

All my meals are that quick, I do rely on frozen protein for dinner. Fresh is cheaper but more work. Veggie saute with sauce- either red sauce or Alfredo, 400-600g zucchini, 200-300g mushrooms, and then about 400g chicken. (for two) Taco salads- all I need to cook is the chicken, while that cooks I chop lettuce and…

Start simple. Yes technically spices have calories but for the sake of learning don't worry about the nitty gritty right now. I focus on weighing all the "heavy" calorie items: protein, carbs, and things like cheese/yogurt because they add up fast. Just start by weighing and logging what you usually eat. Maybe do this for…

It's a mountain to climb. First step is deciding you actually do want to climb it. You have to want the healthy changes more than you want the immediate satisfaction of gorging yourself. I have always had the same mindset you have now. The change was internal. I just have had enough of being unhappy. I'm aggressively…

It's because of your height, shorter bodies need less calories. It just means for your body, losing weight more slowly will be the healthier choice. You're not that overweight either so you have less room for a healthy deficit. It is a challenge indeed for those who are not very tall. Your best bet would be to stick to the…

If he can't be at least kind and supportive of you he isn't worth your time. If it's on you, that you can't make the choices you want to make because you're around him then that's something you need to consider. Otherwise I really don't mind being mindful and working on being healthy while my husband continues on his path.…

I'm still at the point where I don't feel like I need to be eating back my exercise calories, and I prelog my day so that I'm meeting my protein goal and I tend to plan right up to my 1650 limit. Sometimes the day gets away from me and I'm too busy to eat the snacks I planned/brought with me. When that happens I save the…

I have done the same for years, what I feel is different now is changing my attitude toward food. Slowly but surely I've convinced myself that food is fuel and my choices need to reflect my body's needs not my mental desires. It's tough but I essentially have been breaking my reliance on food for comfort. Therapy might…

I will have to try, I'm just not sure it could hold up all day. I may have to start bringing extra changes of clothes with me to work.

The halo top is much more expensive in Oregon as well, my husband really wanted to try his own flavor and I made us skip weekend Starbucks to compensate. $13 for two!!! Never again. It's good but I can't justify that!

I drink 120oz a day by my own desire, and I double check that amount by my urine. When it's totally clear I back off for a couple hours. But generally I drink all 120oz before dinner so I'm not up at night to use the restroom. It's about what feels good for your body, beyond the 64oz per day recommendation it's up to you.

We are making a simple stir fry, frozen chicken and veggies and a simple sauce. Makes weeknight cooking manageable, some days are just too crazy for cooking from scratch.

I'm having a similar problem and after reading here I think I need to see a doctor and dentist. I brush twice a day and use mouthwash and my carbs really aren't that low but I experience this every day where I'm in a deficit. When I over ate last weekend (logged as 3k cals) I didn't notice it at all. My husband even says…

This could very well be too few calories for you. If I cut below 1400 I definitely have low energy and poor mood the next day. Doesn't seem to impact me day of which is why I keep managing to do it. I just forget sometimes how active I truly am in my work as a nanny for infant twins so maybe when you are ready you should…

I'm not motivated. But I am 100% dedicated to my goal of dropping a total of 120-150lbs
-
You can add me, lost 100 a few years back, currently at 65lbs lost total. I think key for me is looking forward and not remembering all the time that I was once so close to goal. Total I want to lose is at least 120 but as much as 150.

Similar symptoms in the beginning of a ketogenic diet, it's definitely from dropping off too fast. You really ought to have been advised to cut back slowly for at least two weeks. You've shocked your system with a sudden lack of glucose... Your trainer is wrong to suggest this is necessary because it's not unless you have…

I'd say just make sure your carbs are from wholesome sources, chose whole grains which sounds like you do. A baked potato is different than a plate of white pasta. My doctor (not for pregnancy) told me to do low carbs too and I think it's just a go to suggestion to cut calories. I technically DO eat "low" carb but not…

Pizza is very hard to resist so I just plan it out. We are going to do a papa Murphys thin delight pizza next weekend, I can usually eat half of it and still fit it into my calories! Just have to be smart and conservative for the day at my other meals.

Much more precice, yes! Some people say just get a cheap scale, I suggest the opposite. Buy a damn good one because I got so frustrated with my cheap scale not standing up to my needs that I often was in tears. Ridiculous I know but when you're counting on a piece of tech for your health it should be as easy to use and as…

I'm seeing you haven't come back to add information but I'm also going to say that you're likely trying to eat too little. Honestly what's the rush? Why be miserable? I'm eating 1500 and doing 20 mins of exercise max per day and I've already dropped 5lbs in 2 weeks of very mild/little effort except to stick to 1500…

I've been messing with my macro ratio lately too, I'm not awful at protein but it's not naturally my first choice so planning is key. I prelog my day, and for example today's original dinner plans was less protein and more carbs than I needed so I adjusted it and now I see today will hit all the macros without going over.…

I have before and never stuck to it long, but this time is different because I know I don't want to make room for cream anymore I tried about three weeks of black coffee, love the taste but my stomach couldn't handle it. Started having heartburn for hours, even into the afternoon. Since I switched to black tea I haven't…
