  • These guys are correct. I always log the whole thing though because I usually weigh it before I leave for work and don't have a scale at work and don't really wanna bring back skins or cores to weigh them and subtract it from my diary. It's not that many calories for me so it doesn't matter much. Might matter more if you…
  • I had a portion of chicken (I cook it weekly in my pressure cooker), a can of no salt added green beans, a serving of balsamic dressing. Sometimes instead of green beans I have cucumber, the cucumber tastes better but I slept in this morning so a can was easier.
  • Up to you. I went over by a lot yesterday. It was a terrible no good very bad day. But it's over now, it's in the past and there's no changing it. Years ago I'd over restrict and cut calories from the next few days, have poor energy, which would cause me to skip workouts, sometimes I'd even give up completely because "well…
  • Maybe you think it's easy but it usually isn't. Sure some people just don't crave foods and tend to eat until they're satisfied and no more. I like to think those folks had a great nutritionally sound upbringing and were always food secure and had very little trauma. Good for them! But the thing is whether you learn it at…
  • My scale said I was up in weight but dropped a whole % point (I know they're not accurate but mine has been consistent at least) and I've lost 2 more inches off my waist. Just don't let the scale in your mind, it's just a tool. Took me years to separate my feelings from that number.
  • Oh and then of course you can control 100% of what you eat during your busy days. Focus in filling foods like protein and fiber so you can eat less but stay full. Snack often if you need to, I keep a bowl of measured out almonds and have 2-3 every hour or two :)
  • With all the love in the world (really please picture a very large hug), yes you're making excuses. But that's what we all do, acknowledging it is the first step kinda like AA. I nanny for twins, I know it's not the same as the all encompassing kind of lifestyle of an actual parent but I do overnight care 5 days a month so…
  • I lost mine :( Had a nice set of full Cs even with my wide band size cause fatty, now I'm lucky if I can fold them right to fill out a B cup. It's not pretty. But I plan to just keep up on having lovely bras that make me feel better about them. I'd rather be healthy than have my nice boobs back. Losing the booty is fine by…
  • Honestly I am not motivated. I don't want to do any of this stuff. It bores me at best and stresses me out at worst. But I have goals, I have things I need to accomplish to be healthy and fit. So I'm dedicated to the process, I do it because I really have to. I look at it like my job really. This helps because on days I…
  • I don't think there's a single thing wrong with your body. And no of course you cannot shrink your bones. I would like to make a suggestion though, perhaps evening out bottom to top would increase your confidence. I know what it's like to simply dislike something even if you can't change it. Maybe build your muscles on…
  • Feel free to add me as well! I try to give positive feedback to my buddies that post stuff
  • Good for you :) I also tentatively feel like this is it for me, I finally have a good plan where I don't feel hungry during the day and I am actually looking forward to exercise because it's just not so difficult anymore. Challenging yes but not overwhelming.
  • I can never trust online recipes, I go through and find each individual ingredient and double check it for accuracy online (so not in the app) to confirm accuracy. I had been using an entry for raw chicken that said 200g raw was just over 200 calories but the right amount of protein but the actual true count for the…

  • It is hard to give blanket advice when this journey can be very individual. Cardio will burn calories and improve your overall fitness, strength training will preserve muscle which in turn helps burn calories, then the food thing is personal. I found jumping right into the MFP recommendation wasn't working so I did it in…
  • Yes yes yes :) I lift because of a few reasons, all I've learned here or via experience: - lifting weights while losing fat preserves the muscle you already have. Muscle burns calories at rest and the more you can save the more calories you burn= better fat loss. - even if you're not gaining muscle mass, you can absolutely…
  • I remind myself that regardless of how I feel, following my plan means I WILL GET THERE. My feelings are often negative but fleeting, I may feel better in 5 minutes or maybe an hour but I always do feel better eventually. Having very little self esteem is hard. My depression makes getting out of bed hard. But I have goals…
  • I make a huge point to not look for motivation. It's not motivation you need, it's DETERMINATION. being determined to reach a goal no matter what is how I've lost my 80lbs and how I plan to keep going. Most (yes most) mornings I wake up and I don't want to workout. Some of those mornings I go ahead and sleep in. On those…
  • I liked it at first but I don't use it anymore. I felt like I failed if I didn't hit every mark and over time that was more discouraging then encouraging and I was always having to take it off to dry it because I run warm and always ended up sweating a ton and got lots of rashes even with regular washing and trading…
  • This isn't going to sound nice, but I promise I'm experiencing the same feelings. Losing excess weight for some needs to be about the health of it, not the physical changes. This is true for me because even when I am healthy and have lost every ounce of fat on my body I will NOT have a body I want, like, or admire. This is…
  • I was fat growing up, was in a bad relationship and when it ended I went insane. Binge eating, locked myself away and hardly saw anyone but my work for a year. Can't tell you how much I gained cause I don't know where I started but when I went to the doctor for the first time in three years (at that point) I was 320lbs and…
  • I love mine, I don't use it as my sole exercise so I can't say my results are just from that but I'm advancing in my physical fitness and overall feeling great. The only thing to note is a giant squeek it makes now, doesn't bother me with headphones and I did some reading that it can be fixed but I don't really want to…
  • I find people who wear perfume give zero kittens about how it impacts others. I've spoken to a few and It just taught me not to because they don't care. I have asthma and will also get migraines from heavy perfume. I'd move, and then mention it to the staff. I already saw online my gym has a no perfume in the locker room…
  • I tried at home but found myself getting stalled out because I just don't have the equipment necessary to keep progressing. Can you look into a different fitness option? I just joined planet fitness, they have several classes that sound pretty intense and awesome, but perhaps less insane than crossfit. I'd never do…
  • I had very tight calves too! They still act up a bit. I make sure to stretch them multiple times a day, look up online how to do it properly (I just looked up physical therapy notes online). Stretching the inside, outside, and the entire muscle is key, and then also focus on building strength there. The pain could be…
  • I always keep moving, if you end up sitting still you'll feel much worse. Keep it light because you don't want to damage anything that's healing but a nice long walk is better than doing absolutely nothing. Use a foam roller! I find that incredibly helpful in releasing the tightness, and then a few stretches feel amazing.

  • I only could do 3 minutes of exercise to start. Within two weeks I was doing 5 minutes twice a day, it's just about pushing every so slightly until you're at a point where you can advance significantly. Start with your 5 minutes, and when that feels easy do more. Progress looks different for everyone but when you compare…
  • I actually use YouTube and make Playlists there because I like to chose my song versus Pandora where you're stuck with what they chose unless you pay. I love anything fast, fire burning by Sean Kingston has a great beat, and basically anything by Fergie but in particular London Bridge and Furgalicious.
  • I had to switch shoes, I had this happen nearly every time I used my M5 at home. No matter how much I wiggled my toes they always went numb and a new pair of shoes helped. Not sure exactly what the change improved but they were old and probably not as supportive as my new ones.
  • I stand behind someone who knows the moves and simply DO MY BEST which is all you should do. It's not about being good at it it's about having a good time and learning. No one is good at it after their first few visits, I'm still not great at the choreography. But I'm having fun and improving. Don't stress about doing it…
  • My absolute favorite right now and forever is "Fire Burning" by Sean Kingston. Close second is a tie between Furgalicious and London Bridge by Fergie.
