Be cautious, calorie burns are often inflated a bit. Say you think you burned 400 calories swimming so you decide to eat your daily goal plus those 400 extra and you only actually burned 250, you'll have a surplus. I prefer to view my exercise as only for fitness, I don't eat back those earned calories because I don't…

Honestly, if he is sneaking food you just have to back off. I snuck food for years because my mom was always trying to make me diet. I know is hard to sit there and see the damage but if they can't buy overall better and healthier options (ie, not buying those crackers at all, having healthier options as a whole family)…

This method leads to errors and weight loss stalls. It will work for most for a while, but once you get down to your last leg you will find your weight loss slow or stop and it will be because you're not weighing your food. Do your thing of course but I have a feeling we will see a post from you in a few weeks asking why…

I can't think in terms like this. I'm changing to become more, not less.

I can't say what you should do, but I can tell you what my mom did when I was a fat 12-18 year old. Yearly diets. offered me bribes to not be fat anymore (like the dog I had wanted all my life). She signed me up for LA Weight Loss (sorta like weight watchers). Made me feel awful for deciding to have seconds or a cookie,…

Your metabolism hasn't slowed, you just need less food as you lose weight. Since you chose to cut down to 1200, you really cannot eat fewer calories. In my opinion you should alter your plan by eating more calories and burning more as well. So eat 1400, but burn at least 200 and you're golden. Or change exercise types. the…

That's a doctor supervised program, it's not actually safe but is seen as a solution due to the risks of remaining severely overweight. The rules still apply- they're likely to have intense cravings and binge desires and difficulty to stick to the plan. These plans are always shirt term. But given that it's being directed…

I agree, I also have asthma and I have noticed my symptoms decreasing as I get more fit. I used to need it for every exercise, now I find its been about two weeks since I used it. Also found out under my insurance that inhaler would cost me $75 so I find I definitely don't "need" it as much..... but truly have been using…

The one I have lasts 6 minutes, so it definitely stays active during my whole process of cooking. I adore it SO much. I wish the initial advise to people is "buy a damn good scale, it's an investment worth the bells and whistles" because the frustration over my cheap scale definitely kept me from being accurate because I…

Oh, it's the best thing I have EVER bought. I'm so much more excited and eager to log recipes now. The small one I had before was so frustrating. The screen itself is sturdy feeling and I don't worry about it. I have only had to use it once so far because it's simply set up so well that I can see it under nearly every dish…

Ehh, don't jump to conclusions. I still refer to my husband as my partner from time to time. The partner bit remains true, ring or none.

LOL knowing me I'd totally miss it. I go to sleep before it's dark. Often pass out before even turning lights off. I'm not at all romantic. I mean, I'm in love with my partner we are married and plan to stay that way. But I don't get very sentimental. Our idea of a romantic night is pants off movie time or smoking a bowl…

I'm a nanny and my constant life lessons are to be kind and treat others with kindness, to stand up for themselves and their bodies (practice ownership of their body, they decide who can touch, and teaching words to help them say when they don't want something done), and to be caring. I can see my lessons in them every…

I don't like ground turkey either....it's not like you have to eat it. We bought turkey breakfast sausage. I really wanted to throw it out but husband insisted we eat it. Managed to toss out the leftovers when he wasn't looking.

I second this. I had no idea I was severely deficient. And find some music to play. I cannot stay in a bad mood if the right song comes on.

I'm getting a bit concerned about my vacation time coming up. A lack of purpose can definitely cause flare ups in my depression and anxiety which I have previously combated with food. Luckily it's broken up by a weekend, so two days off alone followed by weekend with hubby then three more days alone. I'm trying to make a…

I have the words "what is meant to be will always find its way" with a few sweet pea flowers around it. Its poorly done, shaky lettering and quite faded now. But it still means a lot to me, it reminds me that while I can try my best, not all things are meant to turn out the way we want. That which is truly meant to occur…

My husband and I plan for me to move to part time work in about 5 years or so, this will be to allow me to spread my energy out the way I'd like. I wish I had more energy to cook even more healthful meals (we do okay for now), I would love to have an hour at the gym a day, and i'll still be able to contribute some to the…

We don't "CELEBRATE" The dead, we mourn them. It's never a "happy" memorial day.

Oh he knew. I doubt he wanted money at first, probably was hoping for a "ah, well you're here on my side of town so far from home maybe you should just stay over..." sounds like you made the right choice!

Well, if you're not where you want to be, what are you doing to get there? What sort of exercise are you doing to improve your fitness? I feel significantly stronger and healthier after just two months of dedication, and I only do about 2 hours of exercise a week. It's leaps and bounds more than I did before and I know by…

Don't make it torture! Spend several weeks logging your current diet, and see how much it is. Then start decreasing it. I was eating 2500+ per day, and switching to 1400 made me almost literally want to die. It was TORTURE. There is absolutely no need to be miserable. Losing at a slow rate means a better mastery of the…

Yeah message her if you're interested in departing with your paycheck for a MLM scheme. Otherwise just keep pushing. If your journey to losing weight isn't sustainable I think this problem is obviously related to the inability to stick with too big of a change. Have you attempted the slow and steady route before?

LOL Dad's don't babysit. They parent. But this is a good suggestion. If he wants to help, give him more constructive ways. Maybe he could come up with some new dinner suggestions and I second the asking him to go do shopping and such. 3 weeks post birth is still recovery time!

Macaroni and cheese, especially a really gooey recipe. My husband and I want to make a small as healthy as possible Mac with Monterey Jack cheese, it's my current obsession. We used it on tacos and an Enchilada casserole and I'm glad we used it all up otherwise I'd have made sure it didn't see another day!

0.0 Uhm... wow. You can have many health problems in your reproductive organs even if you don't use them for their purpose. Get an ultrasound and make sure you don't have endometriosis or fibroid or cysts. If that's ruled out think about what else is nearby- your bladder or intestines. Get those checked out too.

I know Tyrion "freed" them within their building, so I'm wondering why they haven't broken down the doors to get to their mother. I'm guessing it's because the dragons will be central to Daenerys' story line so until she's ready to cross the ocean they won't be too significant. But dang it they're so cool! I heard that…

If I can't or don't want to check the weight, I often log it as 1.1 or 1.2 servings to help with any minor error.
