Good luck with level 2 today - I know you will do it. You're on a roll so keep going. I totally understand how your BF feels - the first time I did 30DS I was in tears. Literally crying in frustration because I couldn't get through the warm up. Think that's why I am steering clear of The Shred at the moment - I get too…

Your doing rather well with your sleep schedule at the moment. Great that your deep and light sleep is balanced and you are not waking up. I am aiming for that so will take inspiration from you.
-
@Priyarose - welcome. Have you decided what time that will be?
-
@Bluetail6 - 8 hrs 8mins is great. Any tips on sleeping for longer? Do you sleep right through or wake up in between? Which Fitbit have you got? My one also tracks deep and light sleep. Maybe yours will too.
-
@SheilaCali thanks for the wise words - you have made me feel better. I think I will try one of Adriene's sessions. I like the idea of "Do What Feels Good". I think Jillian enjoys inflicting pain :# Day 5/100 - worked on poses again and starting to feel more in touch with my body.
-
That's interesting because I am starting to get a niggling pain in my knee also. Hmmm what's Jillian doing to us? I am going to perserve and see how I get on. Day 5 of Ripped in 30 done. I really don't think I will be ready to progress to level 2 next week. I am getting through level 1 (just about) but I am sure level 2 is…

@DresdenSinn - you made me smile when I read you felt like a little kid not wanting to go to bed. I know exactly what you mean. You didn't do too badly with your sleep. 6:30hrs is good going. I noticed that you didnt wake up often during that time so that's a plus. Are you going to aim for 7 hours? @corinasue1143 - oh dear…

Thank you for the encouragement. It gives me hope that the more I start to walk the better I will get. I also have high cholesterol so would be great if walking helped to lower it. Thanks again.

I use the sleep tracker on my Fitbit Alta HR and absolutely love it. Breaks down the time you are awake, light sleep, R.E.M. sleep and deep sleep. Plus can use the Fitbit in conjunction with MFP - exercise, calories, water etc. There are loads on the market you just need to compare them for your needs and how much you want…

9 hours!! That's absolutely brilliant. Keep it up. Try to do the same tonight.
-
Day 4/100 - worked on poses today - standing forward bend (felt great after that stretch), tree (got my balance in the end), warrior, seated spinal twist and seated forward bend. I must say the pose I love best at the moment is the final relaxation :) How's everyone else getting on?
-
Day 4 of Ripped in 30 done! All I can say is it doesn't get any easier for me and I have level 2 to look forward to next week. :#
-
I totally agree with you about it taking years off your life but hey, someone's got to do it!!! :|
-
I have been off work for the past two weeks and it's my first night back tonight - not looking forward to that. Will need to get back into a sleep routine of some sort if I am aiming for 6-8 hours sleep rather than my usual 2-4!
-
I also work nights but permanently. It must be even more difficult working day and night shifts as, as soon as you get your body into a sleep pattern, you have to change it again. I have been working nights for about 5 years now and it really does take its toll on the body/health.
-
My sleep tracker for last night! I think all the exercise I did yesterday tired me out. Maybe in the past I have not been burning enough energy and that's why I was not sleeping for long. I will be keeping a check on this.
-
@DresdenSinn - yes I use the sleep tracker on my Fitbit Alta. Before using a tracker I didn't realise how little I slept so it came as a shock when I realised I was only sleeping between 2-4 per day and that was just little naps here and there rather than a deep sleep. Made me realise that I have to make a conscious effort…

Great - welcome Bluetail6.

Thanks for the wise words. I agree with you about the restrictions as I want to have a healthy lifestyle that I can be consistent with not just a diet I do when I want to lose a bit of weight. I do eat lots of fruit and veggies on a daily basis outside of this challenge and never struggle with that. My main issues have…

Sorry you were feeling depressed - maybe going out for a little walk may have helped. There's always another day so don't beat yourself up about it. Going shopping will definitely clock up the steps/miles. What I sometimes do if I haven't walked enough, I will walk around the house several times until I hit a reasonable…
-
@livingleanlivingclean - After I had eaten them I thought about that as I thought they are baked. I am not going to feel guilty about it as long as I don't cook anything. I am trying to do as raw as possible and I know I will struggle. Will still stick with vegan for the month. Thanks for the advice on the protein powder…
-
@mkql12 how have you been getting on whilst travelling for family wedding?
-
Day 3 of 30 - managed to stick with raw again today. It's kind of nice not having to cook!! Increased my calories by a lot yesterday and managed over 1,000 so that's a great improvement. Off grocery shopping now with my list of veggies and seeds. It will be a major achievement if I manage to do a full week of raw food.…

Lol, yes we are. Maybe we can encourage each other to try to improve on our walking. I didn't do so well with my walking today so will have to up my game to balance it out :#
-
@brittdee88 That's a great way of looking at it. If it's takes you a while to get to sleep then good idea to get into bed earlier. Do you sleep straight through once you do fall asleep? Sadly, I wake up several times.
-
Yes for me too!

I agree, if this is week 1 and level 1, I dread to think what level 2 is like. I have never got past level 1. I will attempt to do level 2 in week 2 but if it's virtually impossible for me, instead of giving up like I have done in the past, I will continue with level 1 until I am able to move up a level. I will not give in…

Fantastic! The more the merrier. I work nights so won't be turning my computer off at 11:30 but will turn it off at least 30 minutes before I go to bed.
