Yeah, that's all what matters. Doing what falls in alignment with your lifestyle in journey towards better health. I, draink high fat smoothies for breakfast and you are right the yogurt is carb laden. I had a hard time finding 10% fat yogurts lol but I did make them fit. Good job on coming this far!

I'm a vegetarian too although i don't eat (meat/eggs/seafood) I was fine on Keto diet with vegetables. YOu have to be a just a little careful but most vegetables have lots of fibers and that doesn't count towards Carbs. So net carbs are the sugar but if carb is in form of fiber then it don't count. I had to install a…

Vegans state the same thing you did that in a different context lol That our intestines and teeth aren't meant for meat and all then a chart follows which compares us to plant eating species and we have identical organs. Sorry can't recall where I saw this. Probably a video on youtube.

Ontario here as well!

You should join the LCHF group on MFP - it'll help you understand a lot of things. From the intensive learning experience I went through- I've come to understand no such thing as good fat or bad fat lol same as carbs. Also cholesterol isn't good or bad either and apparently fat in foods don't influence that. I may not be…

This all is making me re-think my LCHF diet again-took me so long to accept that fat is just fat no good or bad like carbs but no! Things keep evolving. People I feel like there is three sides to all this - one is the side of who consume certain foods vs one who doesn't and then the third which is seeking the truth getting…

Sorry for re-quoting you but please read the article on critique of the critique. It makes some good points. Also, please keep in mind this is a discussion/debate not here to prove I'm right or anything just to learn that's it. Link again http://donmatesz.blogspot.ca/2013/02/harriet-halls-critique-of-gregers.html

Basically a critique of the critique for the original critique - one could say Criti-que-ception!
-
Oh bro, btw they posted a response for what you posted. http://donmatesz.blogspot.ca/2013/02/harriet-halls-critique-of-gregers.html

Thanks all for posting. I always learn something new. The reason why I learn is so that I can share information which is accurate and not hogwash which I learned reading bodybuilding forums. You cannot believe how much money I've spent in supplements. I still feel guilty when I eat chips because the "bad food" concept…

Very recent study posted. Eating beans, peas, chickpeas or lentils may help lose weight and keep it off http://ajcn.nutrition.org/content/103/5/1213 https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2016/03/160330135255.htm Not going in a deficit just an additional serving. For what it's worth- I have yet to see similar studies…

This study suggests taking protein before Strength training session would decrease GH, testosterone and FFA http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16286871 however it was based on diary protein not plant based. SO inconclusive for vegetarians. However, BCAA help with Protein synthesis.…

Wow , I read the entire article. Thanks. See this is what I come here for-to indulge into differing opinion. From past I've learned that China study was basically a "correlation study" and didn't necessarily prove anything and if I listen to one side I will never learn. Thank you
-
Please understand this. I am not saying my diet is superior or claiming anything at all. I am trying to learn. Just learn for the sake of learning. It's the most frustrating kind but that's the only kind that interests me. It allows me to keep digging deeper and deeper. That's why I keep getting confused the more I learn…

Here is a one where Animal protein is compared to Cigarette smoking. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/27479196 http://nutritionfacts.org/video/animal-protein-compared-cigarette-smoking/ - this is a video.

Educate them masses! That's what I vote for. I have family members who until recently didn't even realize that eating "simple" biscuits with their tea during brunch and supper time (not including regular meals) was throwing them off 400-500 cals a day. Let alone the days a pizza is ordered with individual dip for each…

You'd be surprised. Although, this is over-generalization. If I'm on a bulk and am I strong man. I can eat all that and burn those calories during workout which lasts 3 hours. Some strongmen eat north of 6k calories a day. It'll be much easier to get calories from doughnuts compared to broccoli lol Also, educating in…

Oh Lord! one of these threads pop up every once in a while. We can vote with our dollars. Stop buying the so called "junk" if you think it should be taxed. Companies pour money into areas where they can see profit. If you stop eating "junk" then they will get more creative with ideas towards bringing "healthy" items to…

So basically it was indeed a "shockumentary". Whatever I thought I learned was not worth learning however, I did see them talking about a study done on rats/mice- in which they were given cocaine and sugar water and they got addicted to sugar water lol Basically sugar is sugar -it was to make things easier for people to…
-
btw guys-long ago a lot of studies supported Smoking helps exercising lungs and later what the truth was. I wonder if what we know about food and types of food -changes as well.
-
People talk about taxing this and banning that. I vote, that misinformation should be banned and anyone intentionally spreading it should be taxed heavily. The more I learn ,more confused I get.
-
And oh! What about sugar being 8 times more addicting than Cocaine? The study they did on 43 rats that chose sugary water over cocaine? They didn't list any links to the study though.
-
Bro, they had Brazil on the list of obesity ridden countries lol

Thanks a lot all for posting. They did mock AHA and AMA in the documentary. They also talked about how most research funds are provided by big corporations. USDA being in the pocket of bugger corporations. They revised so many things in the bills and legislation. Also, the food at school cafeteria being pizza, fries,…

I do LCHF diet 4 days a week (with low calories) and then carb re-feed one day a week rest is maintenance. So far I've dropped 2 kg in 17 days. (4lbs) Be prepare for initial changes though!

@Dragonwolf oh wow! thanks a lot. Would you say general day to day basis a person should be really take out time to focus on where the fat is coming from? For example most of my fat comes from flax seed 1 tbsp, coconut oil, cottage cheese, yogurt, avocado, cheese slice, almonds, walnuts. My ultimate goal is do be able to…

Disclaimer -since we don't know exact sizes or any other specific details. Response is based on what I've deduced from the video. She isn't really accepting who she is because she found a new dimension to exist in but changing sizes. She is coming to terms with the fact that she is over-weight and since her old clothes…
