  • Starting a little late but I would love to join this challenge. I have been losing and gaining the same ten pounds for three years. I am currently injured(broken wrist, torn meniscus) but able to walk slowly. I started November at 185 and am still there. I weigh in on Fridays. I would love to be 170 by January 31! Feeling…
  • Me too! So frustrating. I have been measuring and weighing everything I eat, exercising diligently, yet I have a half pound gain. I am beyond frustrated.

  • You are amazing for losing that much weight! Don't listen to her: just walk on your own or find one or two people to walk with. One of my friends walks the pups at the local animal shelter: only love there! I had a weird experience the other day: I tried a new class at our gym because there was free classes all week. I am…
  • I started weight watchers in March: down 12.6 pounds: I lose 2 lbs, gain .2, lose 2....kind of frustrating. I lost 50 lbs on WW in 2006 and slowly gained 40 back since then. It seems much harder this time around. But I feel like it is doable: just taking longer! What I don't like about it is that there is no longer an…
  • I do! I am currently 185, want to get down to 145-150. I keep gaining and losing the same three pounds. I am 5'6", 57 years old. Very frustrating.
  • What is that? I need some inspiration: I keep losing and gaining the same five pounds and I really need to keep losing 40 more of them.Would love to try something that keeps me on track for 80days!
  • see if you can get a buddy to go with you. I have a run buddy and a bike buddy, between them, I get out four days a week.(no one wants to swim with me because I am so slow!)
  • Definitely see a podiatrist: best bet, a sports podiatrist. Although, when I had one, the pain did not go away: it got worse. Involved months in a boot and no running for six months.
  • Tapering is the hardest part of training! You get all sorts of weird pains, have all this extra time....be careful not to overdo the eating: hydrate wisely and put your feet up. Stretching, massages: all good.
  • I like to call myself a runner too. I am right now at 496 for the year(yes, that number will at least motivate me to run four miles after work today). Next year, I will try for 1000: this year I think I can swing 800: that is my motivation for running in the fall. I haven't run a marathon in eight years: i am trying to…
  • In winter, I never carry water for runs under eight miles. In summer, I sneak around and hide water along the route every four miles. I can't do gels: so I dilute gatorade for runs over ten miles.
  • I usually run alone. I trained for my first marathon when I had three teens and a two year old: it was my only alone time! Now that they are all grown up, I sometimes have one of my children or my husband join me for the last four to six miles, either by foot or bike. It is nice to have someone to talk to on those last…
  • Hoping to qualify for Boston this year. My husband ran it in 2011: very exciting to watch. He really wished he had done more downhill running.
  • I have a smoothie for lunch. I can make it before work and then I'm not tempted to munch on junk at the office. I usually add spinach, carrots and either berries or an orange and either protein powder or milk: I try to keep it at about 300 calories.I can drink it on the way to the gym then do my workout at lunchtime.…
  • Congratulations!
  • I have heard this with oatmeal. It really works for!
