Starvation mode is a myth, and you can't mess up your metabolism by skipping meals. There is no way your metabolism can change except for in extreme life or death cases.

30, 5' 11" and weigh 188 pounds. I cut 1lb. to 1.5 lbs. a week on 1800 calories, and my TDEE varies day to day since when I'm not at my desk job I'm pretty active. Slow and steady works for me.
