All good. No worries

So today was pretty good. I feel a lot better than I did yesterday. No blood sugar issues. Although now I do have some cravings for sweets, but it's not so bad that I feel like I will lose control. Having lemonade helps. This is the 6th day without sweets. Also, third day eating the way I should be for my digestive issues.…

Instead of quitting when you don't see results - keep going until you do see results. Don't over think everything. Log what you do eat, see where your weaknesses are and just eat less of the things you like. You're never going to stick long term to a diet filled with foods you don't enjoy. Don't put a time limit on your…

Even more funny - is the fact that I have maintained my weight for 2 years without weighing anything...yet everytime I try to lose, I ate too little. You'd think if I can maintain without weighing I'd be able to lose at a reasonable rate without it as well. Haha

It's kind of funny, I use to underestimate the first time I used MFP to lose weight (like most, I was eating more than I thought), now that I'm in to lose the last pounds the second time, I have the opposite problem. How times change.

I've done it for a year before so this time it was really easy for me to get back into it. Takes maybe 10 minutes extra of my time. Besides, I don't want to eat less than 1600 if I don't have to. :) I can fit a lot of yummy food in there.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I do? Which one is that? The one I made that said weighing my food has taught me that I overestimate calories? If so, I have figured that out long before I started exercising.
-
You need to make sure you eat enough protein for that. I would recommend a good balance of all the macros. Use MFP to track and hit them.
-
Weight loss wise there will be no change. However, playing around with macros can influence your satiety level. How full you feel after a meal. Fat and protein tends to keep people fuller for longer.

Make sure you weigh all your food on a food scale and measure only liquids. Don't log solid food in cups, log them in grams, and log liquids in mililitre or cups. If you are sure that you are doing the above correctly (that is, weighing ALL your food), then it could be that you might be retaining water if you are new to…

Yeah I have that too. But it will go eventually. And I'm not stopping until it does. Lol
-
Wrong.

We should all find ways to make our workouts more enjoyable, increases the chances of sticking to them long term. :)
-
Make sure you weigh (solid food) and measure (liquids) EVERYTHING. Also, if you are new to this amount of exercise, water weight could be influencing the number on the scale. Measure yourself with a tape measure (if you lost something, it will show), and make sure to drink a lot of water. If you are certain that you are…

I agree that you should cut it out for a few days to see if you still get them, if you do, might be something else going on. I've heard of some people that get headaches from certain types of artificial sweeteners.

I plan my eating plan a week ahead. I only go to town once a week so I need to plan meals anyway, to ensure I buy all the necessary groceries. So, since I know what I will eat a week ahead I might as well log it ahead too. Being organized makes weight loss a lot easier for me.
-
I measure and weigh. Measuring is a lot more accurate sometimes, especially when you are retaining water, the scale can show a gain, but the tape measure can show a loss.
-
Well it tasted good... Lol

Thanks I'll check that out. Never knew about them. I've been having this issue for like 2 years now. But yeah like I said, as long as I eat regularly I'm fine. Who needs doctors anyway. ;)

Added lesson - Properly fuel your workouts ;)

I second drinking more water. For me, exercise also help a little since I sweat. Foods to avoid - for me personally that's gluten and lactose. But they make me bloat because I have an ibs reaction to them, most normal people I know don't get bloated from them.

Yes, I did eat after the sorbet, but at that moment my first thought was "Sugar - now..." I'm not sure about the above. I've never been diagnosed with those things, yet I do have blood sugar issues. Apparently 3 doctors think its "natural" for my blood sugar to just drop like that... wow really? Medical care here sucks. So…

And soap

Yeah, talk like that is what gave my friend an eating disorder.

Tell yourself "I'm taking care of myself, because I love myself and I want to better myself." Don't quit because you don't see results, keep going until you do, otherwise you will always doubt your choice. Also, focus on things other than weight loss. Only think about food when you need to eat it. Food is fuel, not…

Yeah well, after living here for 22 years I'm pretty used to the heat. I live in the Northern Cape of South Africa, if I had to compare it to some place it would be nevada or arizona. Semi-desert land. :)
-
Oh that's nothing. It goes up to 43C (109F).
-
It's really hot here, about 98 degrees. And sunny. I'll probably go walking much later, when the sun is almost down.

I lost some weight! Weighed in at 0.5kg less today. I'm really proud of that, but I don't think I'll work out today. I don't feel so good. Feel kind of sick, plus my lower back hurts. Maybe I'll work out much later today. I had some overeating this weekend, but apparently not enough to stall my weight loss so I'm happy…
