As far as I know, the only way to remove a food from the list completely is to delete it from previous entries where it was used.

It's detrimental to the rate of loss, sure, but I've lost nearly 80lbs and I have all out cheat days every once in a while.

I manually log my FitBit burn for anything over 1700 (my TDEE).

I have "just one day" every so often without it derailing my progress. The trick is to find balance and not make those days too frequent.

I like to see how much I burn but I did just fine without one for most of my journey so it's definitely not a necessity.

I've had plenty of them during my nearly 2 years of losing and they've not set me back at all.

I just looked at how much I was burning on "good" days when I met my step goal and set my goal calorie burn around there.
