Thank you. I am enjoying my daily calorie allowance of around 2700 cal to maintain and around 2000-2200 cals for weight loss lol. How long did you breast feed? I have been breast feeding since my daughter was born in October 2014. During my pregnancy last year with my son, my breast milk dried up during the middle of my…

My updates are above. I have been losing about 1 lb a week on average. You're right, trying to lose 5 lbs a week is bad. I've been taking advantage of the calorie deficit that breastfeeding creates to lose. :)

Just an update. I'm now down to 131.4 lbs. I may weigh a little less because I weighed myself this morning with engorged breasts prior to breastfeeding my babies. I can easily be 2 lbs heavier when my breasts are engorged and need to be emptied. I wonder am I actually more like 130 lbs or even 129 lbs? I'm still…

That's cool that you lost all of the weight in 6 months. I don't know why I was freaking out and rushing things last month. I was totally torturing myself.

Just wanted to update and thank all of you. I posted this almost 4 weeks ago. After posting this, I started eating an average about 2000-2400 calories a day. I'm now 136 lbs. Which is down from the 141 lbs that I was when I stared this thread. So I'm losing an average of a little over a pound a week. I feel so much better…

I used this calorie calculator: http://fittobepregnant.com/pregnancy-breastfeeding-calorie-calculator/ I chose the activity level as moderate even though I exercise every single day in the form of a brisk walk for at least 30 minutes. I still do house work, baby wear, and cook. I run around and play with my two year old.…

I just decided I wanted to lose 5 lbs a week since I'm so close to my goal weight. I wanted to hurry up and get back to normal. I was trying to use mfp's recommended calorie goal of 1200 to lose weight. I was trying not to eat back my breastfeeding calories so that I could rapidly lose weight. No photoshoot, I just wanted…

Thank you for the encouraging words and information, Curlychip. Thank you for the replies Trish and Thedaffone. Sardelsa, I guess I'm in a rush because I just want to hurry up and feel like myself again. Thank you all again for the replies.

With my first pregnancy I went swimming and walked my dog a lot and didn't have to work. This pregnancy I walked a lot outside, indoors, and on treadmill. I also worked part time. I think my diet was similar to my first. Perhaps I got less exercise this time? With my first pregnancy I would spend hours in the pool…

Thank you Susan, victoria, and thedafftone. I will take it easy for now. I'm going to eat to hunger and stay around 2000 calories (or more if I'm hungry). I guess I had unrealistic expectations with this pregnancy weight loss. With my first pregnancy I gained 42 lbs and only had 8 lbs to lose by 6 weeks post partum. This…

Running Mom, thank you. I have a history of eating disorders. I have been beating myself up and feel so frustrated and angry at myself. I'm very thankful for my babies and the ability to breast feed. This is the first week I didn't lose anything at all since my son's birth. So I felt discouraged too. I'm only 5'2" and am…

I tried a calculator online which said I need 2600 calories a day. I wonder should I add 100 extra more calories to this number since I am breastfeeding my toddler too. I didn't have an issue losing this much weight with my first born and didn't count calories. I've been losing weight every single week until this past week.

Hi. I just had my second child 5 weeks ago. I gained 44lbs during this pregnancy. So far I've lost 28 lbs. I still have 16 lbs to lose and I'm no longer losing as quickly. I'm exclusively breastfeeding and try to get 30 minutes of moderate walking everyday. I try to eat 1200 calories a day but it's hard because I get so…

No one else is having this problem?

I will go to the Fitbit group now. Thank you for the info.

My gym does have child care. I take body combat or step aerobics classes. I walk outside and swim during the warmer months. I do not have a Fitbit. I was just reading about fitbits last night. Is there any specific one you would recommend?

I wish I could work out everyday . It's so hard to make it to the gym everyday with the baby and this cold weather. She keeps me busy. Lately, I've been going 3 days a week. But I'm very active at work. I rarely sit down or even have time to eat or use the bathroom.

I'll try to drink more water in addition to increasing my caloric intake just a little. I . I will try the 1700-1900 range. I've read that a breast feeding woman needs at least 1800 calories. Do you work out at the gym and how often?
-
I'll try this. Ok. Prior to mfp I drank lots of juice and would eat chips, gummies, and fruit snacks often. I also ate out a lot. I was probably averaging about 2500 calories a day. I tried to eat healthy too but had junk food with it. I'll plug in a typical day of what I used to eat and see what comes up... . Thank you…

I will try this. Ok. Will do. I don't know why 1200 calories is recommended for short women by these websites. This feels like a starvation diet to me.

I used the guided setup. If I change my activity level to lightly active I am allowed a few more calories. Perhaps I'm getting my activity level wrong? What's the TDEE? At first I had my goal as 2 lbs per week but have changed it to 0.5 lbs. It must be the breast feeding. I've never had such a hard time losing 4 lbs. I…

I'm not sure. I just started mfp about 2 weeks ago. Mfp gave me a goal of 1200. So that's what I've been trying to stick with. Prior to mfp I was not counting calories but I'm sure I was eating at least 2000 if not more prior to mfp. I try to go to the gym three times a week, I work a few days a week at a nursing home so…

I gained 42 lbs during my pregnancy. I lost 34 lbs by my 6 week check up which left me with just 8 lbs to lose. Recently, I've lost 5 of the last 8 lbs. Now I'm stuck with the last 3 lbs. I wonder is breast feeding making it hard for me to lose these last few lbs? I lost so fast at first, but just slowed down at the last 8…

I would not have cried. Your son may now call you fat every time he gets upset because he knows it bothers you. If my small child called me a bad name I would tell them that it's not nice and ask them how they'd feel if I called them a name. A 5 year old knows that words can hurt. Small children as young as preschool age…
