It seems kind of glitchy, sometimes I can find exactly what I search for and other times it can't find the simplest food.

You can do it Asha! Motivation for me comes from the daily wins. Small things like being under my calorie goal for the day or seeing and pound or two less on the scale. Just keep your chin up and don't let any minor setbacks get you down.
