Personally, potassium was the fix I needed. I was already taking long walks, drinking a lot of water, supplementing magnesium & getting enough salt but failed to take potassium seriously. Are you short? I've noticed that MFP calculations don't really accommodate the height impaired. Makes you feel like you're an eating disorder waiting to happen if you go below the same number of calories it recommends for someone a few inches taller than you. :(

If you mean few enough carbs to induce Ketosis, you could look up "Ketone Bodies" on wikipedia or elsewhere for some good intel. Brain function tends to suffer a bit initially (brain-fog, cranky, etc) but once you're body stops waiting for more carbs and makes the switch, you're good to go. :)
