I want my wife to look at me and think "I have gotten back the man I married."

You should first of all encourage her by saying you support her efforts to be healthy. The ask her, What is your TDEE? She will likely not know what TDEE is or what hers is. That will allow you to go here And then show her how many calories it takes for her per day. THEN you can have her set up an MFP account and really…

I quoted and edited this. If I were you, I'd print this off as edited and give it to them the next time you saw them. Except I would add at the top of the page:: If you have trouble understand big words let me know and I will read this to you personally.

Gosh Ed, I look at your ticker, and every time, I am just...AWESTRUCK.

I have tried Weight Watchers three different times, but I never really applied the principles. I decided I would give it another "try". I stepped on the scales and saw my weight. I was shocked, then hurt and devastated and just how fat I had gotten- I did not know I weighed that much. I know I am a guy, but it shook me to…

Butterfly a chicken breast and throw it on the George Forman grill for a few minutes. Reduced calorie bun, Hellman's light mayo, lettuce and tomato, salt and pepper. Delicious.

That is a really good way to look at it. And I have actually lost it in 14 weeks.

Thank you. I can't quote everyone, but please know I have read all these and appreciate it all so much!

Thank you!

I so appreciate you, my friend!

If the friend posts something I would not be comfortable my wife or children reading, I drop him/her. No hard feelings, it's just the way it is.

I really appreciate all the feedback, folks! BTW, I have a 24 pound toddler, so I picked her up and said, :Wow, I've shed a baby!"
-
You can do it- one step at a time! You will find that there is an incredibly strong support system here, even (especially) in the times you might mess up.

Total win!

I hope to be 60 pounds lighter by Christmas, including the 25 I have lost already. It would be the least I have weighed in 15 years.
-
I hereby declare you "Officially Awesome!"

Changed this to say instead (since you figured out the pics): Awesome job, you look fantastic!!!

We need the after also. :)

Yes, I lost four pounds a week the first two weeks, then it went to 3 the next week. I am averaging 2.2 pounds a week now. Last week (week 9 of my journey), I lost just .8. Very normal, expected even.

Ehr-ma-gerd- ferts!

No, that's assault. And if it was my wife or one of my daughters, he'd be missing an arm, and possibly other stuff, if he did that to them.

I do not subscribe to the Ancient Eastern philosophy of chi/qi, but there is clinical evidence to support accupressure point stimulation for sleep, found here: http://www.bastyrcenter.org/content/view/176/

These, plus fiber:

This is a revised edition, too. I was nine more times. Now it is just five. I am amazed at how consistency pays off.

No longer is it Nine More Times. I've lost 23 pounds now. In just two more pounds, so of course that will be 25 pounds lost. I should it by Thursday. So, 25 pounds, 14 weeks. So if I do this NOT nine more times, but just FIVE more times, I will be at goal. Yes, what a feeling! So, how long does that make it for me? Well,…

I can't wait until I start having that problem! :)

Here's the good, GREAT news: It isn't going to destroy your 11 pounds lost. 9 cookies, at 250 calories per cookie = 2250 calories. A pound of fat = 3500 calories. Not to be gross, but your probably expelled at least a quarter of this, depending on the type of cookie, amount of fiber, etc. So that brings you down to 1687…
