This feedback is GREAT! Thank you, everyone!

Also, is it free?

I want to! Can anyone else give me a little more information on Tone It Up in general? Found success with it?

My thoughts exactly. Burst out laughing at work because she is so right.

I just made stuffed peppers using ground turkey instead of Italian sausage. They were delicious! http://www.kalynskitchen.com/2010/09/recipe-for-stuffed-green-peppers-with.html I used the leftover ground turkey to make breakfast muffins: 10 eggs, 8 oz. ground turkey sausage, 2/3 cup skim milk, and 2/3 cup shredded cheddar…

Oatmeal is my lifesaver. Keeps me full for hours. 1/2 cup instant oats with 1 tablespoon brown sugar and 1/3 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk = heaven!

Hippopotamuses produce pink milk!

I don't count my cup of juice for breakfast, but I do count my tea and coffee. Thoughts on that?

My husband and I use Taze-3. Take it only when I have a big workout or heavy strength training workout. Never fails to give me diarrhea EVERY time I take it (sorry). Many peoples' digestive systems can't handle frequent doses of a pre-workout.

If my weight loss struggles/plateaus could be summarized in one post, this would be it. On the weekends, I try to stall breakfast and turn it into a brunch so that then I end up eating only 2 meals. Works pretty well.

Celery! About $1/bag.

"You're crazy for training for a marathon. Why would someone ever want to do that?" Because it's been my lifelong fitness goal! Don't call me crazy for deciding to be committed to something so difficult. "Just eat it! You deserve it after all your hard work!" I really don't. I deserve to eat what I should eat in peace,…

Charge HR 100%. The digital screen is wonderful, but I don't have a need for the massive smart-watch-like screen (the Surge). Knowing my HR is great, plus it gives me a more accurate way to track exactly how many calories I'm burning. Charge HR is worth every penny. Much better than the Flex. Don't even bother with that…

Rewards for big milestones. I, personally, have a huge weakness for cute workout clothes and shoes. So, I set goals for myself that when I reach (A) goal weight or (B) exercise goal or (C) get through a holiday without eating sweets, then I'll reward myself by purchasing something cute. When I finished my half-marathon…

I made Cheeseburger Soup--not entirely healthy, but more of a treat since I live in NW Iowa and it's still freezing here. http://allrecipes.com/recipe/13062/cheeseburger-soup-i/

Thank you for the helpful advice! I just got fitted for a new pair of Brooks at a sports performance store that analyzed my gait, arches, etc.

Calorie burn: Highest: Outside running Moderate: Treadmill Least: Elliptical All 3 have their own benefits, but if you're looking for the highest calorie burn, head outside for a run. Running burns more calories than the elliptical, and the incline/wind variations help you burn even more. If the weather is crappy and you…

You will struggle to find a bar as high in protein and low in sugar as the Quest bars. I ask for them for birthday and Christmas gifts. I think they're worth every penny. If your stomach AND wallet tolerate them, keep at it.

Begin loading up on carbs and stretching daily--roll out on a foam roller, if possible. Start hydrating NOW. Experiment with pre-workout drinks and/or energy "Gu" NOW, if that interests you. Don't begin using those things on the day of the marathon. Take probiotic supplements to keep your digestive system regular and…

Your body is capable of SO much more than you think. You're ready. Gradually build up, increasing your distance by 1 mile/week. Stretch a TON and take rest days when you need them. Be careful... before you know it, you're going to want to do a half marathon...

I found the above link, http://insanitycalories.com/, to be the most accurate. Didn't overestimate for me.
-
I just completed the Insanity program. You'd think you're burning hundreds of calories because of how brutally awful it is, but you're really not. I have a FitBit that I wore during workouts that accurately tracked my calories burned based on my heart rate. I found that I burned about half as many calories doing Insanity…

You have a cat. That's all you need.

5'3", 22, trying to lose 15 pounds. My daily calorie goal is 1,400/day. I really struggle...

Me too! 5'3"! ...and really wanting my thighs to slim out and make me look more proportional. I feel like we're more susceptible to appearing overweight. The struggle..
