I was dealing with heartburn daily which ruined my sleep, hated not being able to find clothes that fit well, hated being the fattest person in the office, tired of looking terrible all the time no matter what I did with my hair and makeup, tired of being invisible to the world. I have a sister who suffers from severe…

That's four pounds a week. It would be very tough - on the level of what athletes do to drop weight before wrestling, etc. - which is not advisable long term. What are you eating? Try going a little higher on protein and a bit more fat so you will stay satisfied longer and reduce your carbs. Give yourself a few more calories too maybe and try intermittent fasting.

I lost 50 lbs doing Paleo, but unless your family is doing it with you, and you want to make it a lifestyle, it's difficult to sustain. Which explains why I gained back every pound I lost and then some. I felt great, I was satisfied in the sense of not being hungry, but I felt deprived. And man, eating a slice of pizza…

I don't feel guilty but I do get mad at myself. That said, what I love about this lifestyle is that we can start over every single morning. Your slate is wiped clean each day. Give yourself a break, you're only human.
