I'm doing okay I think. my financial stress lessened slightly recently but my relationship is still all over the place which causes me to be all over the place. we're on a waitlist for couples counselling so with any luck that might help.

I don't use any sort of device so I just log my exercise minutes manually in mfp. half of them, that is.
-
yeah I guess. I wouldn't think 10 pounds would cause that much of a discrepancy, especially when I'm an inch taller than you, but I suppose it's more than I think it is. no idea how age affects it either lol I'm 31

does your area offer any advocacy services? maybe if you can get someone to go to your doctor with you and vouch for how you're feeling it might help you make some progress there. sorry to hear you're having such a rough time.

see this is weird. i'm 5'3 and 110 and sedentary and MFP has my maintenance calories at 1480.
-
I try not to go over 300 calories for breakfast, use just under half of what's left after that for lunch and save the rest for dinner. then if dinner ends up being something lower in calories I'll have however much dessert I can fit in with however many calories are left.

before: protein smoothie during: water after: some milk 2 go sport and a protein bar

stop worrying about labeling your body and just enjoy being an attractive woman with a great body.
-
actually finished all 5 sets of a 50lb overhead press today.

a smoothie: half a cup of chocolate milk 2 go sport, a banana, 2 tablespoons of mocha instant coffee, a scoop of vega bodacious berry protein powder, and half a cup of frozen berries

I've lost my weight and am now maintaining but I've been diagnosed with major depressive disorder as well as borderline personality disorder so I understand your struggles. add me as a friend if you like.

I have depression and take medication for it and I lift. It's been really awesome for my depression, I genuinely enjoy doing it and I love seeing and feeling my body getting stronger and being able to lift more and more. it's probably the best thing I've ever done for my mental health.
-
I find it so strange that people love deadlifting so much. it's honestly my least favourite part of stronglifts. I just find it boring. i'm currently only at 115lbs though so maybe I'll enjoy it more when I'm lifting more? I don't know though, I'm already starting to find it difficult on both my hands and my body. when I…

borderline personality disorder and major depressive disorder. medication helps, sleep helps, eating halfway decent helps, exercise helps. getting into lifting has actually helped a lot, not just because of the exercise itself but because I enjoy it so much and am so excited about the results I'll eventually see, and just…

did a 50lb overhead press today. first time adding weight to the bar. such a big accomplishment lol
-
are you logging your food accurately and eating within your deficit? that's the only thing that's going to make you lose weight. the exercise just gives you a bigger deficit.
-
I deadlifted my own body weight of 110lbs yesterday. hurt my hands lol
-
I started with 15lb fixed weight bars and had a session with a personal trainer to teach me proper form for everything and then slowly worked my way up to using the olympic bar. I'm less than 3 months in and deadlifting my own body weight. it worked for me. definitely don't feel like you have to rush into lifting 45lbs…

probably not as often as I could. more often than a lot of people though because I've had no choice but to develop pretty sharp self awareness as a result of constantly working on myself due to mental health issues.

I hate the taste of coffee. the closest I get is a french vanilla or iced capp from timmies

1. lately around 7, in winter usually 8-10 2. I need at least 8 to feel fully functional and rested, 7 is adequate but not ideal, anything less than that and I'm a mess 3. nope 4. well if I get less than 7 hours I'll probably struggle a lot to get through my set, working out while exhausted never goes super well
-
I wonder if this is a factor. I wasn't a preemie, but I was small, just over 5 pounds at birth, and so I've always been small.
-
yeah I have mental health issues that are pretty debilitating. but at least I could always indulge in food to make myself feel better and not have to worry about it lol. it was like the one good thing the universe gave me. I'm hoping my metabolism goes back to what it used to be once I'm off the meds that *kitten* it up.

I used to be able to eat as much as I wanted and not gain a pound if I tried. I inherited my mother's naturally fast metabolism. a lot of people are born with that blessing, I've known quite a few over the years.
