lol looks like this guy is getting his info from the site I been using for 7 years. If you want the actual mile land markers and stuff use the actual site www.eowynchallenge.net and join my group. I will post my progress on here too

Nice to know another site I can use to do this too.

I have a group for this. I was inactive for a year but starting it up again. My group is called Walk Through Middle Earth if you want to join. The website I use is www.eowynchallenge.net. I am at mile 80 from Hobbiton To Rivendell (thitd attempt at the journey) but all together since I havr started this thing on and off…

Yessssss I am currently motivated by cosplay!! I just posted about this on my Insta a few days ago. I am "walking through Middle Earth" and joined Planet Fitness. I am not big and curvey but I put all my weight in my tummy which of course for most of the cosplays I want to do characters have flat tummys. It doesn't matter…

Nothing wrong with nerd ranting

Wow you are walking a lot! You are almost caught up with me. I have been lazy lately. I have been playing too many games on my pho e trying to get points to get gift cards. One of the games was LOTR trivia! I did so well I maxed out the questions and got to the highest level lol!
-
I when I go shopping or push a stroller I have to put my tracker in my boot.
-
Welcome! I love the clothes too. I have several LOTR cosplays. I want more dresses but they are so expensive. Good luck on your journey. Love the avatar!
-
I have another 15 lbs to go
-
I love this part of the story and you tell it way better then me! Thanks for sharing your journey! We are all wet and a luttle dreary because are going through the Midgewater Marshes, but it is quiet and quiet makes things peaceful!
-
I love the stories, I wish I was creative and could write like that!! The journey is a go at tour own pace! Keep it up. You are doung well!

Good job. I have been going stir crazy too, but the last 3 days it has been in the 70's so I let the kids play in the yard while I walk around the yard getting my steps, abd we have a pucnic lunch. Today we went to the park for a bday party and to a family center for Pirates and Mermaids day. I did 7 miles
-
A very appropriate way to get your steps. I have all the Narnia books as radio dramas I need to listen to them and get my steps. I used to have the 26 episode bbc radio drama of Lord of the Rings but they got lost. I need to get that again and the Hobbit radio drama and Star Wars Teilogy radio drama.
-
Good luck as you start out on your journey. I will be cheering you on! Tell that beautiful Meras of yours I said hi!
-
You are moving right along! Great job!

I don't usually leave the house either. About 10% of my 167 miles comes from pacing my living room, marching in place while watching tv, or stomping my feet vigourously while sitting on the couch watching tv. At first I felt a little like I was cheating because I am sitting, but according to my new HR tracker, my heart…

Welcome, Dusty. Hopefully you find some inspiration here

Sam likes thatbhos Rosie wears ribbons in her hair lol. See what I did there?
-
Good job!!! I remember when I walked the plank bridge and entered Tookland! As Sam says, if he takes 1 more step, it will be the farthest he's ever been from home!
-
Yea. I am doing a 2 week experiment. If I walk 10-12 miles a day, according to MFP I burn over 800 calories and don't overeat, I should loose 2 lbs a week. Usually I loose 1. Normally I walk about 5 miles a day.
-
Nice how you use your own wording! I am not well versed like that lol! 50 miles is a good milestone!! Keep it up! Do you by chance have ribbons in your hair?
-
Lainy, here is website aka point of reference. www.eowynchallenge.net
-
Kullerva, love the greeting! Love the name! Nice to meet a fellow Tolkein geek! Welcome to the group!
-
Lainy, when your steps start turning into miles you just look on the website un walks and whatever journey you are doing, you look up what milaeage you are at and see where you are with the Hobbits. I am starting from the beginning. I am doing the Shire Rivendell 458 mile journey. I use my Garmin tracker. Yesterday was the…

Nice job!! I have been going a little crazy and either pacing my living room or marching in place, or stomping my feet while watching tv between 10-12 miles a week this past week, because I am running a 2 week experiement. Usually I do between 4 and 6 miles a day.

Welcome! The awsome thing about this is, you can go at your own pace. When I first started my journey, I made it all the way to The Mines of Moria, but we seemed to have gotten lost because, I was in the Mines for 4 years lol! Gandalf recused me and let me start over lol!
-
Godspeed! Have a safe journey! Today I am 1 day oit of Bree with Strider and we are about to camp in Chetwood for the night before we start day 2 out Bree. Pippen keeps asking about Second Breakfast. Strider is not amused!
-
That is awsome. I love Shadowfax! My friend has a friend who works for Weta. She was allowed to pick out one thing from the Weta Workshop, so she got me a 1 Ring! That is the most valuable thing I own in my collection, that and my custom made Arwen cornation headdress I wore at my wedding! One of my daughters is named…
