I make a tofu "eggless" salad, sort of like egg salad. Take a block of tofu and steam or cut it up and bake it, but not until it's dry. Crumble it, and add chopped celery, onion, vegan mayo. Basically use whatever you would use to make a regular egg salad, but use crumbled tofu instead. Enjoy!

Hummus and cottage cheese are both healthy choices, so if you don't eat too much of them, you'll probably be fine.

I am a vegetarian that eats vegan most of the time: low on dairy and cheese. I have found it so much easier to lose weight as a vegetarian than as a meat eater. I believe it to be a superior way of eating. :)
