  • I did tend to fluctuate, but I’ve been surprisingly consistent the last few months. I’ve started passing my large clothes on to friends or family that may need or like them. I figure if I keep the large stuff it’ll make it easier for me to end up back in them.
  • Thank you! It’s all still a work in progress but I’m much happier and healthier now. I stay between 1250-1400 cal daily. I try my best not to exceed 1400 as for me it seems to be where I have little to no progress. for exercise, I haven’t done any cardio this time around but I do some body weight resistance and…
  • Updated ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Id like to lose 4-5lbs in January. I have gained and lost many times unfortunately. This is my 3rd attempt at losing and maintaining a healthy weight over 15 years. I have carried and birthed 2 children during that time as well, so naturally my body is a little worn out from all the fluctuation lol. I’m…
  • Yes... I’ve lost large amounts before and had practically no loose skin then. However, this time around my body has been through too much so long my skin elasticity is shot. My arms are very loose and my inner thighs are joining them lol. It can be a frustrating side effect of weight loss but it’s better that we’re…
  • I couldn’t easily wear Sneakers, heels or fun styles anymore at my heaviest. I remember trying on men’s shoes just to see if anything would work. I kept thinking how did my feet grow so big?! I was trying on old stuff one day and decided to give my shoes one last try before making a donation pile of stuff that didn’t work…
  • I’m just under 5’1” and I started this round(last and final lol) of weight loss August 2019: 217lbs Size 16/18 & XXL Current weight: 169 Size 9/10 and medium to small top(depends on brand) The full length photos are me at 217& 174. And then the face photos are at 216& 170. Id say I have what I consider a dense body type,…

  • It’s amazing what everyone in this thread has achieved! I always like success stories because they’re the ultimate motivation. I know someone struggles/struggled similarly and they overcame it all. On my difficult days I’m reminded that there’s so many people out there still chugging along and their commitment is earning…
  • Loose skin is an unfortunate side effect of major weight loss. Some people have amazing elasticity and will have minimal skin issues, however many have loose skin after losing a great deal no matter how much they work out, eat clean etc. A lot of people don’t want to hear that surgery is the only option to correct it, but…
  • I guess for me I’ll know when I feel my most confident. I am always happy when I reach a mini goal but then I know I can keep up the hard work to achieve a healthier weight. I set one every 10-15lbs lost and then re-evaluate my situation when I reach those goals. I’ve been thinking I’d like to be near 130lbs when all is…
  • “If you stopped losing now youd be fine.” “You look healthy and normal now.” You might look too thin if you lose too much more.” 🙄 that last one bothers me. I know people mean well but they don’t understand that just because I appear fine doesn’t mean I’m a healthy weight or that I’m personally happy where I’m at.
  • -Fitting easily in a regular sized towel! I had been only using bath sheets for the last few years. My kids wanted to use the “cool” big towels so I used the a regular one expecting to be spilling out of it and i could tuck it in and cover my whole body. I had forgotten that was possible! -Shopping for new clothes and…
  • My before photo I took at the start in August at 217lbs. I don’t even recognize myself in it... I was so bloated as misshapen. I was really unhappy and very unhealthy. The after photo is the first “feeling myself” selfie I’ve taken in years. I wasn’t disgusted by my reflection as I had been in previous years.
  • My mini goals are: • fit into single digit clothing again I’m currently an 11/12 • reach 160lbs(start weight was 217, current weight is 179)
  • My petty reason is to prove I didn’t just let myself go forever. I lost my way when i had a very rough situation and I people got used to me being a slob. I want to look and feel even better than I did in my 20s. I also want to enjoy shopping and looking great just for myself!
  • • Weight loss can happen very differently each time. I’ve unfortunately been on this journey more times than I’d like to admit, but each time it’s been very different. Last time around I lost mostly in my legs arms and face in the beginning. This time I’ve been losing in my mid section as well. I’m definitely not…
  • I’m fitting better in my driver seat so I know what you mean. It’s strange to think we ever filled the space now that the mass is gone. It’s nice not bruising my legs to fit in places I’m too big for. Getting out of the plus’s 🙌🏼! That’s such an awesome feeling! I hope you get to enjoy shopping for yourself! I forgot what…
  • Thank you! They are absolutely such a reward. They’re the motivation I need to see all this through. I can’t wait to get my life back
  • I want to be at that stage of health again as well! Building strength can be left on back burner while trying to lose, but it’s such an essential part of being healthy. It’s amazing that you’re able to just get up and go so easily! I’d love to be in that shape already. I need to be patient and work on it safely. I’d like…
  • My suggested caloric intake at the moment is 1230 however, if I eat 1230 as sedentary as I am, I lose very very slowly. Like 0.5 lb weekly or less. I am obese so losing more isn’t a stretch for me, it’s necessary. I eat around 1050-1100 cal, which isn’t typical or healthy for most people. And honestly not exaggerated or…
  • I have been on the weight loss train many times in my life. One thing I know to be true for myself is rapid weight loss can feel like a victory until my body adjusts and loss slows or halts. Sometimes we hit plateaus right when we feel like we’ve been making great strides and that can be frustrating. For now, keep up with…
  • Currently 203, I have been working on healthy& balanced weight loss since the end of July(wt: 217) I’m hoping to be close to 198 or so by the end of sept. I have been a yo-yo loser/gainer since I was in high school. I’m determined to adjust completely to a healthier lifestyle and make permanent changes this time around.…
