  • My co-workers know that I've been trying to lose weight and asked me today how much weight I've lost. When I said 17 lbs, they were all so excited and impressed. I actually had one co-worker tell me I was motivating her so much, she was going to be getting into eating better and being fit and asked me to join her for…
  • Thanks for all of your insight! For the record, my walks are usually 45-60 minutes a night. Usually go at a reasonable pace. I try to eat 1400 calories a day (so I'm not under eating) and break it up into six small meals. I want to get into onederland before adding strength training. I'm about to get a promotion at work…
  • Both my husband and I love Pokemon so we immediately got the app when it came out. Now we're both walking nightly to catch Pokemon and I've been either hitting or getting close to my 10,000 step goals compared to barely hitting 5,000 before. I actually look forward to hour long walks; especially with the egg hatching…
  • My mini goal is to visit my dad in August and him to notice a difference since he saw me last year :) I'm hoping I can get a "oh my god!" out of him
  • Thanks for all your great suggestions! I've already peeked at these quick and I think that's what I was looking for.
  • That would be wonderful!! Let's motivate each other then :) that's so awesome that you've lost over 60 now!
  • So really it's just the idea of if it keeps me from overeating calories by snacking/eating lighter amounts during the day, then yay for that. But it doesn't make a difference metabolism wise if I eat all my calories in one meal then nothing for the rest of the day.
  • I still add the elliptical time if I'm trying to watch calorie intake/outtake. The calories burned that show on the Fitbit don't really count towards the calories burned with working out when you log it in. At least that's what I've noticed.
  • Thank you all so much for your feedback!! I've kept myself soda free for three weeks now so I love having this option for myself
  • So if I go with honey instead, probably just a tsp or so, that would sort of give me a healthy all clear?
  • I'm not gonna lie, hearing that story has probably been the best motivation for me! Because I've had a few similar things happen with my body myself that I know now are weight related. I desperately wanna try for a baby by the end of summer. Tomorrow or Monday I'm picking up this Wii game thing called EA Sports Active 2.…
  • Actually my doctor said it awhile ago that I should start eating better and exercising just in general. My husband has placed the stipulation back up because I haven't really listened to the doctor but he knows I want to have a family. I love getting massages but to me it seems a bit frivolous to spend the money on one.…
  • Thank you all for your input and suggestions!! I'm finally fully serious and committed to losing weight and I wanna do this right. Hopefully our next grocery shopping trip will help me keep this planned better. I don't mind the shakes; tbh they help also with my random chocolate craving I get although I have little calorie…
  • I've looked into doing that. We had gotten a new blender specifically for that but then fell off the wagon. I've heard using frozen fruits is just the same as fresh since if we get fresh it usually gets wasted somehow
  • lets see... It says 190 calories. 10g protein, 5g fiber. Crazy amount of vitamins. My usual lunch used to be either fast food or sandwiches so that's the trade
  • That's what I've been hoping for us support. Because of everything, I'm very much an antisocial introvert so I don't do well with face to face interaction so I'm quite isolated. Having this community support will do me wonders! I have added you :)
  • You've been accepted :D I need all the motivation I can get and I'll try to do the same for you!
  • I know I can, I just sometimes lose focus! I have PTSD so sometimes food is my comfort. I know I have to stay strong!
