  • Map My Fitness will sync. It can track several different activities, has GPS, coaching and challenges.
  • For the first 6 months of my diet I did not exercise and lost over 42 pounds just counting calories and staying within my goal. I also use a digital kitchen scale for weighing food. Only within the last 3 weeks have a started exercising with a stationary bike.

  • I eat breakfast around 6:30 AM. Lunch at 12 noon and dinner around 5 or 6 PM. I eat a snack like fresh fruit between meals if I feel hungry. I try to leave around 300 or 400 calories for the day after dinner so if I get hungry late in the night I can have something without going over my daily goal.

  • Yes there is. In the app go the Settings menu and then "Diary Settings". At the top put a check mark beside "Show All Meals in Diary Tabs"
  • My scales have that also. You can place a bowl on the scale and then press the power button and it will zero out the scale. Makes it easier then to weigh the actual food.
  • I have both the Fitbit One and the Fitbit Charge HR. I like the Charge HR because it has continuous heart rate and auto sleep tracking. But if you are looking at steps counts the HR can over count because of hand movements. I put the Fitbit one in my pocket and have found it accurate for step counts.
  • Get a lot of Protein and Fiber. Eat foods that have more volume but low calories.
