For me, the trick was drinking enough water. Breastfeeding made me so thirsty, and sometimes I would mistake thirst for hunger. So when you think you’re hungry, drink a glass of water first and see if that makes the feeling go away. Also, be careful when you stop breastfeeding. With my first child, I continued to eat like…

I was above 2000 calories daily while breastfeeding. It takes more calories to breastfeed than it does to be pregnant, which makes sense since the baby is bigger. When your baby is 4 months old, you’ll need even more calories. I recommend eating whatever you feel like eating for a few days and logging all of it to get a…

How old is your son? My youngest is a year old. A few months after she was born I shed a ton of hair. It’s just growing back now, and I have a ton of little wisps around my face. So if you recently lost some hair, your “problem” might actually be a good thing!

How old is your son and how many times per day are you breastfeeding? As my daughter dropped feedings, I had to decrease how much I ate, but I couldn't go too low in calories or I wouldn't make enough milk.

I'm reading a science fiction series by James S.A. Corey. It has just been turned into a tv series (The Expanse, on SyFy), but the season is going to end in the middle of the first book and I had to find out what happened. It's so good! It's the first series I've read in years that makes me want to stay up past my bedtime.

Hi, I'm Katherine Guhin. I'd like to lose 30 pounds. My daughter is almost 2 years old. I had lost almost all of my pregnancy weight, but then I stopped breastfeeding and gained 10 pounds. I don't want to keep gaining, and I want to get to a shape where clothes look good on me again.
