Cutting out the crap didn't work for me either. I did that for about a month before returning to MFP and only when I started to log did I see a change. I became more aware of all the calories I was intending to eat and cut according to my daily allowance. I still use some of my calories for crap most days (wine!), but at…

Another plus one. My body sounds just like the first poster and when I lost weight my shape stayed the same only smaller. I plan on using exercise towards the end of my journey this time to try and get rid of the tummy! I was so disappointed with results last time and I don't think I even realised what a difference there…

Squeeze some fresh lemon and lime into the water. It makes it so much easier to drink. Also as the cold weather is coming in I have it warm with slices of lemon. I love it!

Hi there. I have been vegetarian for 30 plus years now. I recommend the meat substitute products (my favourite is quorn, the range is really good) as they are a very good source of protein especially when you are starting off. They are also tasty so make the transition easier. I also cook a lot with beans, lentils and…

Started logging last week. Have 100lbs to go. This is my third serious attempt and really need to stick with it this time. So sick of carrying an extra person around in weight. It just makes everything so much harder than it needs to be! We can do this!!

I also have that problem but I am getting to much carbs. Vegetarian proteins I can think of lentils, beans, meat substitutes eg. quorn, chickpeas, eggs, yogurt (greek, fat free), low fat cottage cheese, mushrooms, milk, tempeh, soybeans (I avoid these as soy gets bad press), cocoa powder (unsweetened), Oats, green peas,…

Looking to connect with others that have 100+ to lose. This is my third serious attempt and really want to nail it this time.

Hi everyone! I have 100lbs to loose and this is my third attempt. I am hopeful :-) I am from Ireland, a mum, a student and have a job. I have been over weight all my life except for late twenties where I lost probably 100lbs (I was too afraid of the scales to weigh myself back then!) I am also a vegetarian so find the carb…

I broke my foot 3 years ago. I had to have surgery and was in a wheelchair for about 2 months. I did weights at home in the chair. Best of luck with your recovery. Its such a pain in the *kitten* (foot).

Signed up about 10 days ago. Lots to loose but set myself a very achievable 28lb loss for my first goal. Doing the lifestyle change not just weight loss approach. Hope to get to know some of you on our journeys.
