Calories may be the same. BUT that diet soda WILL trick your brain into making insulin (due to sweetness) and, of course, contribute to weight gain. That's only the tip of the iceberg of issues I have with diet sodas :/ Check out that documentary "Fed Up". As cheesy as this sounds, it changed my life!

Cottage cheese and a spinach salad with fruit is what I left behind. lol I think I may just have to buy another container. My 3 year old eats it like it's pudding lol thanks

I started this today too! I really like it! The cardio was tough but manageable. I'm just starting out with workouts (took way too long of a 'break' and so not fit now). So this is a perfectly tough quickie to get me started! We will see what tomorrow's Speed 1.0 is like! Best of luck to you! Feel free to friend me :)

You're right. I looked it over and instead of 600 grams choc chips, it's coming up as 2 tbsp. weird. I'm on the mobile app so that may be why. Thanks

For the record, it was a very simple truffle using skim milk, butter, flour, (mixed those to make a heavy cream) 2 bags semi sweet chocolate chips and 1.5 tsp vanilla. Nothing fancy.

My boys have off the charts ADHD. I've made some major changes to their diet and they've admitted they feel much better now and even avoid eating trigger foods when they're off my watch! (And they're only 9!) We cut out all processed foods, anything dyed, artificially flavoured, additives, chemicals, dyes, etc. And we…

I love doing a slowcooker chilli. I use chickpeas in it. Also, I nix the tomato sauce and paste and use crushed tomatoes instead! Cuts the sugar and preservatives right out! I load is up with tons of veggies and season with chilli powder, cumin, paprika, pepper, and a dash of cayenne peppers.

Thanks, I've peaked on kijiji and there are quite a few fitbits up there for a realistic price. I'm thinking of maybe a flex. Any idea if this is a good one?

I'd like a wrist band type to wear all day. The other bells and whistles are the sleep monitor, calorie counter, etc. I sort if want something to remind me that I've been sitting too long as well. This way when at work, I will know when's a good time to get up and move a bit. I surely want a bit more then just a heart rate…

I posted this question before Saturday. I was fully expecting to go over my calorie count. With some great advice from posters (many thanks!), I was careful w breakfast and lunch to ensure I stayed within my calorie count. Cheat day is something that's always in this house. I should have mentioned in my original post that…

Thanks again all! I did cheat yesterday but was cautious with breakfast and lunch so, even though I ate greasy pizza and sweets in the eve, I stayed within my plan! Yay! :)

Thank you all for the responses! I don't think that cheats will do much for metabolism lol I'm going to just designate Saturday as my cheat day (I don't mind the term for myself) but am going to be cautious with breakfast and lunch so I can partake in a heavy calorie dinner and desert! To clarify, Saturday is always desert…

I have zero clue what that's an acronym for...?

I gave up sugar in July. It was tough. I used a lot of it! I used to use 4 cubes per tea cup and would drink between 5-10 cups per day! I also adored chocolate. Mad love for anything baked. And my pancakes are pretty epic! So, ditching sugar was tough! After watching 'Fed Up' though I HAD to. Not just for me but for my…
