Audrey, I'm a Louisiana native too, but living in TX now. We're Interstate 10 neighbors. :) ===== We've been having some beautiful weather, so my mood is good and I've gotten in walks everyday.

OW, your reasoning for high-impact running shoes makes sense. I never thought of that! I'm also using running shoes (Brooks) and the walks are way more comfy than with my previous walkers. Keep up the good work!

Hubby and I celebrated our anniversary this weekend with a kid-free roadtrip. Saturday night involved Tex-Mex and margaritas. I went really over (like, 500 over), but I was back on the wagon yesterday.

Woohoo for that beer from a handsome gentleman!

I've been driving most of the morning and afternoon, but I can't wait to get my sneakers on and log some steps for this challenge when I get home.

Down 7.2 lbs this month -- I'll take it! That's a total of 24.8 lbs since I began Feb 6. I should pass the 300 threshold this month. :)

I'm dealing with a back problem today. I have a degraded L5 disc, and it started flaring up last night -- first time since September 2013. I'm just taking it easy and lying flat as much as possible. This will make my Fitbit averages look horrible. :(

Getting close to month's end. I'm actually looking forward to filling in the chart, because I just might post a better number this month than last. *fingers crossed and doing extra steps*

I went to a birthday party on Saturday and a retirement party on Sunday. Had cake at both, so I ended up eating back my exercise calories plus 100 more. I resolve to do better this week, because hubby and I celebrate our 10th anniversary next weekend and are going away without kids. We will have one cheat meal and drinks,…

SMurphy, so happy for you! I don't have any experience with PCOS, but I would like to encourage you with plus size pregnancy. I was 280 with my first and 305 with my second. Both were weights most "experts" would discourage. But I found a great OB who believed weight doesn't automatically make a person high-risk. She was…

Sleepy but here. 5 hrs of fitful sleep and weird dreams.

I've had a really good couple of days thanks to the encouragement of Fitbit challenges with Arlene and Tata! Message one of us if you want to join. We're having fun and setting new personal records. I went 13K steps today!!

I'm kinda a picky eater, and I also don't want to make a different meal for myself than the rest of my family. So I'm just sticking to calorie counting and eating anything I want as long as I stay in budget. Right now my daily budget is 1600 calories. I've decreased my calorie budget as I've lost weight in order to have a…

I'm in too! :)

Date night. Cheesecake Factory. Stayed within budget. WIN! Their Skinnylicious menu is really quite good. I had a bowl of pasta for 570 calories and then split a slice of cheesecake for dessert.

I've had a 6-day bout of no exercise, but I got back out there today and did 2 miles after dinner. My motivation? I got some earbuds so I can download podcasts and listen while I walk. It really helped!
-
Big news here -- I just hit 20 lbs lost!
-
Me too!! I doubled-over and so totally needed that laugh. Laughter burns calories, too, right? :)

Sorry for falling behind on entering my data. I'll update in just a few minutes. I've also fallen down on taking as many steps. Great Britain walk sounds wonderful! I've never been to the UK, so I'm looking forward to "seeing it" on our challenge.
-
Arlene, I saw it pop up as an alert, but it disappeared from my mobile app...? I will log on to PC this afternoon to see if I can locate it.

I haven't been doing well. I've been a little depressed over the weekend and haven't gone for my usual walks. I did manage to stay on track with food, though. I'm just lacking motivation for much of anything. :(
-
I'd love Fitbit friends. My IRL friends have been doing Fitbit so long they aren't into challenges anymore, but I want to do some. Please send me a message and we can exchange email addresses.

BigChange -- so sorry for your fall. I know how embarrassing it is to do and to cry in front of others. Nurse that ankle well and you'll be back to normal soon. :) == Happy to report I hit 10K steps three days in a row. If I can do it today, that'll be a record for me. Of course, I spent 11-11:30pm beside my bed jogging to…

Love the dance party! Yay us! I also vote we keep going.

1cand, 3K at the mall sounds fun! I live in Texas, so I'm thinking the summer will force me inside a mall for walks. And by summer, that probably means late April. Will the pocketbook survive?? Mad_M, snakes terrify me too! My granny used to walk for exercise, and (living in the country) would carry a hoe with her to chop…

I love reading your NSVs! These stories encourage me more than numbers of steps or numbers on the scale. :) I've only been on this journey 8 weeks, but here are three NSVs: I can now fit in my pre-Baby #2 jeans! He turns 2 next month, so -- even though they are just a size smaller -- this pair has been out of commission…

I weigh daily, but the scale has been stuck all week. Put in a 10K+ step day yesterday, and now I'm -0.8lb. Not so good since I'm aiming for a 2lb/week loss, but at least it wasn't a gain. I might be consuming too much salt.
-
Klipsan, that's amazing! Go you! How are the NS meals? I've seen them advertised, but never in person. Are they filling? Taste okay?
-
I'm trying to be good today. The scale hasn't moved all week, and I'm supposed to log tomorrow. Eeeek!

Thanks, Lungs! Glad there's another bright-color lover here. :) I get compliments on them often.
