  • I'm glad you're still on track! I tend to go over by about 150 a day, but I mostly maintain a 1000 cal/day deficit according to Fitbit, so I'm satisfied. MFP has stopped detecting my exercise, and I don't know how to get it working. Oh well.
  • Good job! I'm still doing the challenge, but definitely more like a tortoise. I hit 55 lbs today. :)
  • I'm here. Progress is going slower these past few weeks, but I'm reminding myself that the tortoise won the race, not the hare. :)
  • I didn't have a good July. Only lost 4.6 lbs. I went into maintenance for the long July 4th holiday weekend. Then my exercise really took a nose dive since the temps have been upper 90s and low 100s here in Texas. I'm hoping to up my game once my kids are back in school and once the weather is nicer.
  • Thanks, y'all.:) Audrey, you should totally take one and post. With clothes on. LOL I don't have many full-length photos of myself. The "before" shot was all the way back to October 2013.
  • Before: 327 lbs Currently: 287 lbs - down 40 lbs!
  • Just put in my June numbers -- lost 9.2 lbs for a total loss of 39.8 in four months. I had to buy some new clothes this month. I'm down two dress sizes, two pants sizes, and one shirt size. :)
  • The scale has been really nice lately. I've replaced walking each evening with water aerobics twice a week because of the Texas heat. I'm down to the 280s!
  • Groto, I went to an Aqua Zumba class for the first time on Thursday too! How did you like it? I'm not a great dancer, so I was happy that my lack of rhythm was obscured by 4.5 feet of water.
  • Italy sounds great! I'm willing to picture post Texas if we do it next. Sorry for the delayed reply...busy week here.
  • I've been at a stand-still for a couple weeks. I began a new medication that has a side effect of weight gain and bloating. I'm not losing, but at least I'm not gaining.
  • Rob, send me a message, and I'll add you to our Fitbit challenges. I see that you walk a lot, so you're gonna give us a run (walk?) for our money. :)
  • I like doing different countries. Especially those of our members here. I liked reading about the cute little town in England that you (Jenni) love so much when we passed through it. Maybe we can choose one of the participants' states or countries each month?
  • Yesterday was the first day of summer break for my kids, and it was so difficult to get in steps with them around. I can still push the younger in a stroller, but my 7 year old would have to walk with me, and he starts complaining a half-mile in. Any ideas on how to get him to walk farther with me? I'd rather not put my…
  • With pool season approaching, I worked up the courage to try on last summer's swim suit. It confirmed my fear that a good bit of my weight has been lost from the chest area. I tried on pre-baby #2 suit -- unfortunately, some of the elastic has dry - rotted, so it can't be worn. However, it showed me that the…

  • A happy surprise on the scale -- 4 lbs lost this week. I haven't had that kind of number since the first few weeks when losing weight was easy. Total loss is now 31.6 lbs.

  • I'm making tacos with ground turkey instead of ground beef for the first time tonight. Wish me luck on passing this over on the rest of the family. :)
  • OhMsDiva, send Arlene or me your email address, and we'll add you as friends and to our challenges. We, BigChangeNeeded, and Tata do challenges almost weekly. :) === I have the Fitbit Alta. It's basically a newer version of the Flex but with a screen to show steps, calories burned, active minutes and phone notifications.…
  • OW, you find such beautiful places to walk! Nothing wrong with flat. The only incline I get here in Texas is the step up between the street and curb. Did you get to feed the ducks?
  • When I got my Fitbit in mid-March, I had to fasten it with 6 holes remaining. Today I fastened it with just four. :)

  • OW, I look the same way. I have a fair complexion, and any exertion makes me turn red and then purple. I joke that I look like an eggplant after exercise. :) ===== I'm thinking of joining an adult water fitness class in June. I watched the class for a few minutes after my son's swimming lessons, and it's made up of lots of…
  • My SIL was in town, so we went out for lunch. Ended up at a place I didn't have nutrition information for, and I went over my plan for the day. Gonna try to get some extra steps in tonight to combat the yumminess of barbacoa tacos.
  • Beautiful photos! I'm up for the dungeons -- as long as we've got flashlights. :)
  • Crossed the threshold and weighed in at 299.4 this morning. I've lost 27.6 lbs since Feb 6. It's a slow process, but this tortoise is committed. :) 35% of the way to my first goal: 250 lbs.
  • Thanks. :) I feel better today. One of the reasons my mom passed so quickly was her weight. She could have had 6 months with us, but she was unable to get out of bed after brain surgery, leading to blood clots and pulmonary embolism. I'm trying to get healthier so I can have more years with my kids. I know she would want…
  • Feeling down today, as it's my fourth without my mom on Mothers Day. Allowed myself to comfort eat, but it doesn't help. Tomorrow is a new day.
  • Beautiful!! I've never been to the UK, but I love the Outlander series of books and seeing these Scottish sites is exciting. Even virtually. :)
  • Jenn, send me a private message with your email address, and I'll add you as a friend. Arlene, Tata, and I do challenges together. KRCE has joined in a few times, too. Yay for your Fitbit!!
  • Jenn, I loved reading your story. Your man pulled off a great surprise! :) Audrey, I'm in Houston. Considering we have group members from the UK and Australia, I feel like we're "just down the road" from one another.
