I really struggle with my protein, and I'm doing a medical menopause (was on HRT, now I'm not.) I hadn't heard about this though?

Yup, not giving up is good! You got this. it will be a struggle, but you knew that. you're strong, and though you don't feel like it sometimes I bet, you're going to do this for you. Because you do, in fact, deserve to feel better. If it helps at all, after my great days Friday and Saturday, I ate way too much yesterday…

I was pondering making a Dairy Queen run, but I decided I didn't really want to spend 700+ calories on something not really that satisfying. So I'm going to make myself something yummy AND healthy, and also save myself $20+ (because I would have taken the family too.)

You. Guys. Okay, so I was going to post about this yesterday and then didn't, but I went to a work potluck and DIDN'T overeat! First up, I knew it was coming-- so I skipped breakfast, ate some snap peas when I got hungry, and held onto my calorie budget. Then at the potluck I got maybe half a cup of a few things that…

@kenziestabes please report in! I spend all night throwing the comforter off bc I'm hot, then the AC comes on and I pull it back over me... Hurray for one year! @justanotherloser007 yay for a cheese replacement! I am trying to stay away from cheese right now, with the idea of teaching myself I don't *have* to put cheese on…

that is one way to see it. When I get this comment, I finish it in my head with "bc this is a lifelong change FOR my life."

AnnPT77 and some other awesome folks posted in a thread regarding loose skin that also covers the belly (somewhat.) https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10809632/loose-skin-50lbs-loss-at-60-4-years-maintenance/p1

oh no. I'm so sorry. *vibes to everyone sick or injured* I have been playing touch-me-touch-me-not with plantar fasciitis. I hate it when walking is what hurts! that's my go-to! But I'm managing. And I'm eating WAY better than I've been managing most of this year, so hoping to see a new low tomorrow for weigh in...

Hurray for you!! MFP is a gift. I pay for it not because I need the extras but because i can and I'm grateful for it. (and I want it to stay free for people who can't pay for it!)

At a burger place the other day, a woman told me and my daughter she loved how "colorful" we looked, and how we weren't afraid to be ourselves (I was wearing a bright orange tshirt, and my kid a rainbow tie-dye dress.) I'm still 200+pounds. My kid is 300+. We both know she was commenting on our "courage" being visible…

I've seen recipes for chocolate chip cookie "dough" made with chickpeas! Supposedly it's amazing, though i haven't tried it yet. that'd be more protein AND yummy, if it works! I've got a recipe for sweet potato brownies I'm planning to try when it cools off enough I won't feel like turning on the oven would overload my…

Realized today that a favorite shirt I'd been leaving in the closet as a little too small--is now a little too big! I love this shirt, but I'm looking forward to letting it go.

I was mad at the world and went "meh" at checking in last week, though now I can see I was actually doing okay. I've been reading and commenting in my head! To everyone with kids worrying about their weight-- I want to fight everyone making your kids feel that way. I want to burn things down. that is SO messed up! one…

I did this--changed my habits, learned portions, cooked my own food, went for long walks for fun, enjoyed going to the gym...and then a horrible thing happened in the world AND my kid went into a psychiatric hospital AND I hurt myself (still don't know how! who has money for a doctor visit??) in an exercise class AND I had…

I mention this because I have always been choked, but last week I noticed in my car that I've HAD SEVEN YEARS that the seat belt holder (behind left shoulder as I drive) is ADJUSTABLE. I pulled it down, and now I'm choked a lot less!

@finngirl61 my experience with losing my husband (we were not married nearly as long as you were!) was that things were worse right around a year later than they'd been at any point since it happened. After that things got easier. It is not something we ever "get over" in case anyone is trying to tell you that. It just…

I do not have the energy for a tag party, but I'm encouraging you all! Welcome, new folks! Weigh in tomorrow, and it's not looking promising, but hey. I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing, whatever that stupid scale says. ;)

I bought the Instant Pot brand one, the Vortex. We love it. it is loud, but not as loud as the Vitamix. we use it a LOT. We find the large capacity to be worth it, as roommate might make herself dinner consisting of chicken nuggets and tater tots. I like to make a lot of roasted asparagus at once. (First time i made it,…

welcome, @aflads31! those are good starter goals (but you knew that. ;) )

I love it, but what is that about? I just feel neater, better put together...

I'm trying to declutter my living room, but my family has decided it's extra storage space. >.<

almond milk goes great in smoothies! I also use it when I want my overnight oatmeal to be good and creamy. it has a nice mouth-feel.

Maddening is right! I can gain 3.5 pounds overnight. Obviously that's water weight, but do I ever LOSE 3.5 pounds overnight? of course not!

@Echokleist your picture reminded me! I can wear my seat belt between the boobs now! It still slides up, but it's not usually on my neck anymore. XD
