🌈Hello, ladies, and Happy July!!!
🌈We're halfway through 2022. How has it been treating you?
🌈What have you accomplished so far this season? What are you still hoping to acheive?
🌈Do you have any upcoming plans that you're excited about? Or anything looming that's concerning you?
🔴If you've never been here before, please know you are welcome to join at any point in the month. All you have to do is post something, and then BAM!, you're one of us.
🟠In this group, we post our weekly and monthly goals and provide support and motivation to each other as we share our triumphs and our struggles. This group is all about accountability.
🟡All are welcome and, if you think you belong here, you do! No matter how much you currently weigh or how you measure (or don't measure) your weight, we'd love to hear from you.
🟢Victories, both scale and non-scale, are great to hear about, but, conversely, we know that weight loss isn't all sunshine and roses. If you're going through a rough patch, please feel free to be honest and vent your heart out. The struggle is real and we're all here to support each other!

I formatted my before/current photos so I could visually see the progress. It's hard for me to understand exactly how much I've lost but seeing this....wow. Almost a full year of MFP + OTF!

🌈Finally glad to be taking care of myself in 2022. Took 6 months for me to get motivated to start- but here I am, and have to remind myself at least I started!
My goal this month is to lose 10 lbs. Continuing to go to the gym 3 days a week (minimum) and stay active by going on walks in my neighborhood the other days.
Started the Couch to 5k program last night- I am NOT a runner... like, legit my foot hurts today.. BUT I would like to prove to myself I can do hard things if I stick with them.

I try to weigh on either Friday or Saturday morning.
My goals for this month are really just to keep to only one or two "cheat" days before July 20. I have my labs on July 12 and my doctor appt on July 20. I'll re-evaluate after that. I need to keep my A1C in check and continue to exercise but I've pretty much got that in check as long as I don't change course for now.
Thank you all for being encouraging the past months!!!!! And I hope any of you based in the USA like me have an amazing holiday weekend!

@RavenStCloud Thank you for creating the group every month! I hope you feel better soon and Covid doesn’t keep you down too long.
@seltzer_lover That’s amazing progress!!!
@LisaLethal I tried C25K but my knees couldn’t take it. I had to switch back to walking…. If you ever see me running you should run too. LOL. Welcome!!!
@kenziestables I love that you joined the softball league for your goals

Good afternoon everyone, happy July!
My more granular goals didn't end up getting recorded last month, so back to keeping it simple, with a couple additions for better quality of life! Thank you as always, @RavenStCloud, your dedication to the thread does not go unnoticed. I hope you feel better very soon, take it easy on yourself.

@pamperedlinny oooh I can't wait to hear about that doctor's appointment. Knowing the work you put in and continue to put in, you're going to knock their socks off.
Have a great Friday and a happy July, everyone!

Weighed in at 126kg this morning after my workout. That's 4kg less than 15 hours before. Normal fluctuation for me but still kinda shocking to see.
The workout was fantastic and seemed tailored to my situation. It had only things I can still do despite my back and ankle. Loved it.
I am having a bad food day in that I haven't had enough time and tasty things to eat today so I'm still 450 cal below my bmr and it's already past 10pm. I think I'll have cereal to get above bmr. I was closer to maintenancd yesterday so if I eat enough tomorrow it should be okay.
With work we went to clean trash off the beach which was super fun. Afterwards we had to make art with a canvas, some hammers and nails, and the trash we collected. It was great, definitely recommend doing something like it.
Goal for july is 1 or 2kg loss or 1 or 2cm loss. I'm mostly just focused on showing up at the gym and listening to my body.
Oh yeah, a coworker told me she noticed I lost a lot of weight! And she followed it up with "I am trying to lose weight too" so I felt okay talking about it and I actually straight up told her the number when she asked and didn't feel bad about it. She mostly seemed to want to compliment me and talk about methods. I feel a little bad for her because she's tiny (157ish cm which should be around 5'2) so she can eat a fraction of what I can so the bbq we had was about 40% of maintenance calories for me but about 80% for her most likely.4 -
Thank you @RavenStCloud for keeping the party rolling as always!
I'll post an official weigh-in tomorrow but I did start the month at 183.2 - a [elaborate swearing] quarter of a pound over my official -70lb mark. We'll see what the scale says tomorrow.
If you came over here from the June thread - I tested negative this morning so somehow my husband failed to give me COVID. Our space is not conducive to isolation from each other, so I was fully expecting to get it, so color me surprised when I took two tests this morning and they were both negative. I'm glad about that, for sure, but the whole thing has been weird. I'd have to look closer at the documentation for the tests we have, but it's possible that he is infected by a coronavirus but not the Novel Coronavirus that causes COVID-19, and whatever flavor of con crud he did pick up just looks enough like the rona to pop positive on the tests. He's basically just had congestion and a productive cough as far as symptoms go; no fever, no loss of taste/smell, no issues with circulation/respiration/digestion. His clinic advisor says he can come back to work on Monday as long as he's asymptomatic, and even if he's still congested he'll be wearing a mask regardless. It's tough because he had to miss so much clinic after surgery - there's a minimum number of hours they need for their program, and now he "owes" the program 11 clinic days, so he's going to need to go in basically every day in July and August until the Summer B term ends (normally it would just be MWF).7 -

July is here -- the month of the Alaskan bear adventure ! 🐻 🐻 🐻 🐻 🐻
(for those of you who are new here, my mother's bucket-list wish is to see the grizzly bears in
a remote part of Alaska on her 90th birthday near the end of this month. You have to take a small float plane to get there --and when reserving the plane months ago-- and paying for it - it's nonrefundable - something came over me and I lied on the manifest and entered my weight as 25 pounds less that what I actually weighed! If I'm overweight, the plane is overweight, so I would be grounded, with a very disappointed mother, and without a refund - not gonna happen !)
I'm now at flight weight minus one pound, and I'd like to lose 4 more pounds this month to account for clothes and such. I only lost one pound in June, but that's okay.
Can't wait to post photos for you all; you've been so supportive and kind. You're great motivators! Look for photos the last day of this month - if I have Internet on the tundra, or wherever we'll be.
And then the countdown for the celebrity wedding begins... but that's another story.
Keep going strong, all!

Flight weight goal: 195
CW: 192
July goal: 188
Celebrity wedding goal: anyone know of a Hollywood cleanse that could get me from 190 to a size zero fast? ; )

Reintroducing myself: My name is Bonnie. I’m 33, dog mom to a rambunctious Chiweenie, and aunt helping raise my two youngest nephews (soon to be 11&10). I deal with chronic illnesses and pain, which I hope that weight loss and exercising will help.
I weigh in on Mondays.

Goals for July:
🍎 Keep eating 4-5 fruits and veggie servings per day, at least 5 days a week
🧘🏼♀️ Work up to 4-5 minutes at a time doing Leslie Sansone workouts by the end of the month if able to
🏊♀️ Start water exercise when the pool opens up (we finally got a note it’s delayed- no duh 🤦🏼♀️)
👩⚕️ Hopefully have the first physical exam with my primary doctor and schedule the second for August
⬇️ Lose 7 pounds if possible and enter the 240s, which means being able to sit in our balcony chairs weight limits (I’ll be happy with any loss though)
With 5 weigh ins I think I can reach 249 by August 1st, but if I don’t, that’s fine too.
I wasn’t able to have the physical exam part of my appt last Tuesday. I did have a telehealth one instead to stop least address other things though. She had a family emergency that day. That was the second time I’d had that exam scheduled for. I rescheduled it to July 14th. She’s on vacation the last two weeks of the month. I just hope I can get it over with finally.6 -
Thankyou @RavenStCloud for the thread! I found the June one right at the end, but I can now do the full July one. I am 58 years old, 251 pounds on 7/1. I will weigh every Friday for this thread. My goals for this month are
• Sticking to my plan 95% of the time. Only small variations.
• Lose 5 pounds (down to 246)
• Start more regular exercise again. I was doing something every other day, but I got out of the habit and need to get back.

Hello again 👋
SW: 245 lbs (3/2022)
CW: I don't even know because my stupid period has been messing me up for over a freaking week and I'm gonna lose my mind soon, ahem I mean ~208 lbs
🎆My goals for July:
💥 3 miles/5 days a week
💥 Calisthenics 3 days a week
💥 Getting Organized
💥 No food after 6pm strictly
💥 Be at or under 200lb by the end of July
I HATED my June results, HATED them. I am a need to see the results one paper type of person and seeing that I only lost 4lbs has a fire lit under me. Now I am still waiting for my woosh from my TOM. Honestly I'm happy I lost anything at all but I'm disappointed with the choices I made in June and will chose before for July because I deserve better.

Good morning everyone!
Saturday, and I finally feel as though I have slept enough. 186.2 this morning, which, fine. I feel as bloated as a pufferfish right now, and ovulation is coming.
Fridays are normally pizza night, but the ordering wasn't going right on the way home from work, and much like the scenario @bojaantje3822 was in at her meet, I was so hungry I could have eaten anything. The girls wanted McDonald's, so that was dinner last night.
I was pleasantly surprised that the giant sweet tea was only 110 cal. The spicy crunchy chicken was a little spicy, but otherwise unimpressive, and the fries were meh. Despite getting a full combo, I only went over my calories by about 100. So below maintenance for the day, even! Me storing up almost 1000 calories for after-work every day pays off again.
Today, we clean the house, and go to my parents' house for today and tomorrow, and then hang out at our house the last day of the long weekend. At first, we talked about going up there last night, but I'm honestly glad we're not. I like bumming around my own house, even if it is a place I feel compelled to clean all the time.
Tag party time!
@bojaantje3822 that's great, that you've got a coworker on the same wavelength, and she sounds really supportive!
@goal06082021 I'm glad to hear your husband didn't get the worst symptoms, and that you seem to have dodged it!
@sargemarcoriMeh. Fresh month, clean slate.
let's gooooooo!!!
@tahitig aww yes it's bear month! Very excited for you!
@bonniemcc4 crossing my fingers that you can get the physical exam part done soon, too!
@karilbrandt great goals, I love it!.
@Generic_Excuse Don't be too hard on yourself. Bodies are weird. 8 lbs in a month is a lot to shoot for, but if you're carrying some water from TOM, then it could be more achievable once the whoosh comes.
Have a great day, everyone!

Definitely happier with these results. Not the 205 I was looking to be at end of June but so much better than not knowing and yo-yoing everyday waiting for my woosh.
Thanks @CupcakeCrusoe I can really get into my own head sometimes. Which makes this group a great place to be.

Starting weight -238 (May 2022)
Current weight-231
Goal for July - 225
June went okay I guess. But I really want to give it a big push through July to lose a bit more weight. Its my birthday in 40 days and I would love to lose 8lb, so I can start my 30s under 16 stone. But I know it's just a number on the scale, and I'm not going to make myself ill to get there too quickly. I just want to feel a bit healthier. Make some good choices with food.
Goals
🍎 5 a day fruit & veg
💧2 litre water per day
🍷 max 5 units alcohol/week
👟 at least 7000 steps every day
Good luck for July!!

Hey, 4 lbs in a month is about a pound per week, which is a perfectly respectable rate of loss. I assume you don't want to go through all of this again, right? So doing it in a way that is sustainable over the long term is the better approach. You lost four pounds last month, even with the supposedly-disappointing choices you made, and that's *kitten* awesome. Like, I'm not going to comb back through the June thread to see specifically what those choices were, but rather than thinking "I only lost four pounds because I chose treats on the weekend instead of sticking to my health goals," maybe try rephrasing it as "I can enjoy some treats while still making progress toward my health goals," because you can - the evidence is right there in your post. You had some ice cream and still lost four pounds. You enjoyed a few beers here and there and still lost four pounds. You stayed on the couch a bit more than intended and still lost four pounds. You are still making progress. You're doing great at your 1lb-per-week pace. The prize for losing all the weight the fastest is heart failure, so, you know, you don't have to go so hard.8 -

GW for 2022: In the 150s
YAS. FINALLY past the -70lb mark. Losing 70 lbs in 83 weeks in this our current reality is pretty hecking awesome, I think. I ordered a new swimsuit yesterday - Amazon has these three-piece swimsuits that are boyshort/sports-bra-looking bikinis with a separate tank top that's also made of swimsuit material. That seems like a safe way to attempt a bikini, like there's a built-in safety blanket if I need one, LMAO. I haven't worn a midriff-baring two-piece suit since I was five years old, so I'm hoping it looks nice. Should be here next Thursday or so.
I booked my surgery consultation for a tubal ligation yesterday; that appointment is in mid-August. I am 110% certain that I do not ever want to be pregnant, so in light of recent events I'm taking action to keep myself safe. (I actually want a bilateral salpingectomy, removing the fallopian tubes entirely rather than just blocking them with scar tissue; my doctor's office might just call both procedures "a tubal," I'll need to clarify at the appointment.) I brought it up at my last gyno appointment; my doc wanted to wait until my Nexplanon is due for replacement, which will be December, so the original plan was to have the consult in September. I just went ahead and pushed the timeline up a little bit. So I don't know when the surgery will be, given that they were talking about having the consult about 3 months before the actual procedure originally, but having this done has been one of the major focuses/goals of this particular weight-loss journey for me. I know the procedure and recovery will be easier for me the better shape I'm in. I also know that my exercise options will be limited after the procedure so I want to build the strongest possible base for myself. There's definitely a lot to think about and I have plenty of time to come up with questions between now and the consult.5 -

Thanks @RavenStCloud! Here are my responses to your monthly questions:
🌈We're halfway through 2022. How has it been treating you?
Jan 8th I weighed 253 and my most recent low was 247 lbs. Very slow weight loss.
🌈What have you accomplished so far this season? What are you still hoping to acheive?
I have gone from no exercise after surgery and treatment last year to 3 day a week 30 minute walks to 6 day a week 30-60 minute walks.
🌈Do you have any upcoming plans that you're excited about? Or anything looming that's concerning you?
I am really excited to be a Grandmother. My grandson is due in September. I have been looking for a job and if I don’t find one by next March I am retiring. I am being picky or I will definitely be able to get a job.
So today I accomplished my goal of walking around Greenlake with only one small rest. I wouldn’t have needed to rest but I had forgotten to bring my water and we stopped for ice water, ….and iced latte, and a dark chocolate truffle. I only ate a half of the truffle and shared my latte with my youngest. We were 2/3 of the way around. So we walked for 90 minutes which is slower than my usual time before surgery of an hour. It is almost a 5K walk. So my next goal is to get around without any break and then it will be to get around in closer to an hour time.
I would like to get my weight loss to about a pound a week but my priority is getting back in my previous fitness level. Happy 4th to those it applies to. I will now read all of your posts.
