Depends on what your goals are. If you are trying to achieve autophagy, then any calories will break your fast. If you are just practicing fasting for weight loss / appetite control, then having a couple of calories won't completely derail you.

I missed a couple of weeks updating here, but I've been keeping track so will just add them all now LOL SW: 274.7 CW: 244.8 GW: 135 04/07: 246.8 04/14: 239.5 04/21: 239.6 04/28: 235.5 04/30: So, I hit the 11 pound mark in 3 weeks. 4/7 was the date that I got back on Keto after a nearly 7 month hiatus, so I expected a big…

My Lord you have a lot of free time on your hands. Who has time to write all that out let alone read? Listen, you may think you know a lot about Keto/Ketosis/Ketogenics whatever, but you need to concede to the fact that you are not an expect and no, you don’t know everything.

Tuscan Shrimp over Zoodles

Yeah, that is crazy. Unless you are relatively young, a male, and morbidly obese walking 4mph, you aren't going to get anywhere near that kind of calorie burn. You might want to check the accuracy of whatever calculator you're using. Assuming a pace of 3.5-4mph, the average person will burn 9 calories per minute.

As others have pointed out, if you are eating fish you are not a vegetarian. Also, Keto is pretty difficult to stick with when you are eating animal products, it can be done without them, but is much more difficult. I have not read this book personally, but I do listen to a Podcast that features the author and he seems to…

I had coffee with heavy cream, 2 hard boiled eggs, and one small avocado.

I did an elimination diet. I basically stripped down to the basics and then reintroduced foods 1 at a time, 1 week at a time, to gauge how I felt. While I learned that Gluten was my biggest trigger, other things like dairy, soy, eggs, and processed carbs in general don't really agree with me. I avoid Soy completely now,…

I love how I get woo'd for sharing my personal experience. Never change MFP, never change.

I did this about 3 years ago. It was really, really hard, but I was determined to get off of it. I had done a lot of research and based on my symptoms from when before I got on the medicine I was suspected that I might actually have TOO LITTLE stomach acid as opposed to too much. When I was on the Nexium, I was barely…

I meal prep sometimes and do lunches for the entire week in one fell swoop, that way everything is pre-portioned and grab-and-go. Otherwise I do a lot of leftovers, and just pack up meal sized portions when we are done with dinner.

Unfortunately, if you are going to be eating packaged foods, you will need to be diligent about reading labels. If you can, the easiest thing to do is to stick with whole foods, basically shopping the exterior of the grocery store and buying things like dairy, eggs, meat, fruits, and veggies. For starches you can do things…

Without being able to see your diary, I'd say to use more fat in your cooking. EVOO, Coconut Oil, Avocado Oil, Ghee, Bacon Fat, Lard, Duck Fat, etc. Fat has 9 calories per 1g, so adding just 1-2T of healthy fats per day should help.

Nope. Pretty sure they are using it correctly. "Super Foods" will get you woo'd every time.

I practice Intermittent Fasting on and off, so on days when I want to splurge, I just skip breakfast and lunch. If that isn't an option for you, you could always eat 100 or so calories under your daily goal for the 5-7 days leading up to your big meal, and kind of bank your calories that way. OR you could just go and enjoy…

Something else I was thinking of. With your restrictions that you need to accommodate, maybe look in to a good Paleo cookbook, a lot of those ingredients are excluded in a Paleo diet. Maybe even look in to Autoimmune Paleo due to the need to avoid sulfites. Not saying that you need to follow either diet exclusively, you…

Sugar Free Gatorade should be your absolute last resort. You can start by adding extra salt to your food, Epsom Salt baths, Sole Water (https://wellnessmama.com/12158/make-sole/), Nuun Tablets, etc. Just google "natural electrolyte replacement" and there are literally thousands of results.

Serious question, how much did you research before starting Keto? Keto Flu is a real thing and can easily be avoided by ensuring that you are well hydrated and replenishing your Electrolytes - Sodium, Chloride, Calcium, and Potassium. It's best to start supplementing right away to avoid the symptoms all together, but it…

Absolutely nothing.

It doesn't have to be complicated, I promise! Start with the basics, meats, veggies/fruits, dairy. Learn to cook one thing REALLY well. For me, I make a killer roasted chicken. I buy the biggest chicken I can find and then have it for dinner, the leftover meat goes for things like soup, chicken salad, pot pie (you can buy…

I'm not sure where you live, but $150 should get you quite the bounty. I spend that per week and there are 6 of us :) With so many allergies, I think sticking to the exterior aisles of the grocery store would be your best bet and avoid the packaged foods as much as possible. Stick with things like meat, dairy, fruits, and…

Can you open your diary or share what you eat in a typical day? There really is no magic diet that will help you to lose weight, at the end of the day, you just need to eat less than you burn. I'm not familiar with Slimming World, is that a pill or something?

If you want to be a part time Vegan (which by the way, it's REALLY hard to get the kind of gains that you are obviously striving for due to the lack of complete proteins), why not just eat Vegetables? That is a whole lot of processed junk right there.

Thanks! I couldn't figure out how to do that :)

There is a group on here called "Low Carber Daily Forum" that gets a decent amount of traffic. There is a good mix of low carb and keto folks there.

I mean, did you think that your poop was weightless? LOL And that must have been a small poop, I usually lose a good pound by defecating.

You don't eat to stay fit, you exercise to stay fit. You eat to stay nourished. That said, that's a whole lot of Quest products, why not just eat real food?

The only supplements that you should need are to actually supplement things that you aren't getting enough of through regular diet. For some people that's protein. For others, it's fruits and veggies. And for still others it's vitamins and minerals. Don't be taken by the manufacturers that try to sell you their products…

I would give it at least 30 days. You're likely to see a lot of fluctuations in your weight in the beginning and that can be discouraging to some. After the first 4-6 weeks you should start to see a nice downward trend on your graphs. Don't be discouraged by temporary upticks, especially if you weigh daily like I do, the…

Eat whole foods. Don't just load up on heavy cream and cheese (not saying that you do), but focus on other healthy fats like nuts, various oils (olive, coconut, sunflower, etc), and avocado. Eat dark meat poultry, don't trim your steaks, etc. Also make sure that you are getting your electrolytes. Keto flu is completely…
