Hello there! Any form of exercise is a great start but must work along with food. I think a balance diet loaded with fresh fruit and vegetables and with good quality protein is the key. See below the link to my story and please let me know if you want more info, I would love to help!…

In the last 2 weeks you also need do some runs at your half-marathon pace to have a good feel of the pace and become more efficient running it. The runs don’t need to be super long, Anything between 5 to 10K. Good luck and have fun!!!

Hey Deb, Just saw your half-marathon post… I am training for number 3 . It is definitely a learning process and we constantly need to changes thinks up. I am not the same runner that I was when I trained for No. 1. I do a little more each cycle, not just millage but also difficulty. I find that we beginners, run every run…

It normal. It did the same thing for my first ½ marathon…, It will come back to normal. Just try to find balance between giving what your body needs versus over eating... it easy to over eat when you come back for a long run. We all do it. Keep up the good work end enjoy the experience!!! And drink lots!!

Hi Jen, I am also a mother of 2 and managed to lose over 70 pounds in the last 2 years, with eating the right food, in the right quantity and also with exercise. I became a runner along the way and made many friends. You can do this Girl! You just have to find what works for you and make it part of who you are ;-)

Hello, I would love to help you progress as a Runner. In September 2011, I could not run more that 1KM at the time. I ran many races last year, including a half-marathon, faster than I ever dreamed possible. I made many friends along the way and running definitely helps me be a better person. And you course, it also a…

I think a combination of both would be more realistic, 13 weeks not a long time.. maybe something like run 2.5 minutes and walk 5? That would be like a 33% run 66% walk combination. If you feel good you can change it to 50%/50%. If you would run only, you could expect a little over 1h, 70minutes, walking, more like 2…
