Are you nursing twins? If so, it's possible to burn 1000+ calories a day while nursing two exclusively. If you're nursing a toddler and infant, I would assume at least 500 calories a day but it's possibly more than that.

It's unknown how many calories an individual mother burns daily from breastfeeding as it is unique to each mother/baby pair and their breastfeeding habits. There are lots of estimates, and any of them could be right or wrong for you. Since we don't have ounce markers on our breasts like bottles, and babies nurse more or…

Use the recipe builder. Weigh your empty cooking vessel in grams and write it down. Weigh your finished recipe once cooking is completed in grams and subtract the weight of the empty vessel that you wrote down earlier. That's what you enter for number of servings in the recipe builder. When you go to enter this into your…

Reading your replies, @JanetReyna, I get the feeling that you don't feel like you have any control over your choices. You do. Maybe you don't have the ambition to commit to the work it takes to achieve your goals. Maybe you're hoping for a different answer. Maybe you're afraid of owning your success (and possible failure).…

What they mean is that scale fluctuations are a normal part of weight loss and are influenced by those things. That means even if you have perfect adherence you will not see a loss every week, but you WILL see a loss *trend* over time if you are compliant and patient. For that reason, it's suggested that one waits six…

Peanut butter cup and oatmeal cookie are my two favorites. Lemon cake was too cakey and not enough lemon for me. I like the Target brand (Market Pantry) low calorie pints and have been eating those more lately.

It's really not that difficult. I've weighed all my cooking vessels ahead of time and have them written down. I weigh my finished dish in grams, subtract the weight of the empty vessel, and write that down for number of servings. Then I weigh out my portion in grams and that's my serving size. Takes less than 5 minutes.

Which would be reasonable if there didn't appear to be some resistance to that method because the husband brings in the paycheck and may be dictating purchases. OP will have to clarify that.

You have an "and" problem. You cannot shop inexpensively "and" support your current eating habits. So what can you do? You have to make compromises somewhere. Your "and" must become an "or" and you have to make choices about how to best support your goals under the current circumstances. It sounds like you have lots of…

I just went through this, and I also had styling damage. I think hormones also play a big role (especially while my toddler cuts back significantly with breastfeeding). I went through a burst of thickening and growth and then it started thinning again. I have found that more protein has been beneficial. I cut all the…

2300. I lift heavy 4 days a week following a structured lifting program. I've been strength training for several years. I have a high NEAT from being active in my daily life. I maintain in the 123-126 range.

I make them every Christmas! Love them!

The Pioneer Woman was a successful blogger for a bazillion years before she ever ended up on television. Her recipes existed on her blog long before her show. I've been making her recipes for years. I gained weight eating them, and I lost weight eating them. Makes me think it's not the recipe's fault, perhaps?

There are lots of factors that contribute to how much loose skin you end up with, as has been mentioned. I didn't end up with as much loose skin as I thought I would but I was pretty anxious about it when I first started losing weight. I too am covered in stretch marks, so genetics really weren't on my side in that regard.…

You can add me! Currently working on losing my holiday weight (1700 for a pound a week before calorie adjustments, I'm 5'1" and currently 127lbs). I'm also a strength trainer. I wouldn't be here if I didn't love to eat 😉

Yep. I lost weight and to my surprise, I didn't have the figure I thought I did after losing all the fat covering up my actual bone structure. I carried most of my weight in my lower half, and once I lost it, it was like discovering a whole different body. Bodies come in all shapes and sizes and none are more feminine than…

Good! I'm glad to hear! You're still so early post-partum that you will see some weight loss by the time your 6 week visit rolls around without even trying. Just try to eat intuitively now and plenty of variety and get you and baby off to a good start with breastfeeding. You don't have to eat any special foods. Try to stay…

I recommend eating a wide variety of whatever makes you feel happy and energized. What macros you choose to eat or avoid have nothing to do with weight loss, but some people find it easier to adhere to a calorie deficit by experimenting with what helps them feel full. BUT.... If you're currently experiencing milk supply…

It counts as water. They do contain various acids for flavor enhancement, and that was causing problems for my tooth enamel so I don't drink them anymore for that reason, but they will hydrate you just the same.

Yep, went through it a few months ago. I just had to stop working out and let it heal. There really isn't anything else you can do other than let it run its course. It was way too painful for me to think about doing anything else.

Also an American who doesn't like Ranch. I think it's a regional/cultural thing to eat it frequently with veggies or salad (or other stuff like pizza). I like lemon poppyseed or regular poppyseed, or vinaigrette dressings.

Congratulations on your baby! I recommend not attempting to cut calories or intentionally lose weight until your body is recovered several weeks/months from now. With a newborn immediately post-partum, your hormones are telling your breasts to make far more milk than your baby will ever need because the biological…

See a specialist. My pelvic floor also isn't the greatest, but if I ever felt signs of a prolapse I'd get checked out ASAP. And yes you can feel a prolapse happening. Imagine the sensation of your uterus and cervix being pushed out of your vagina. You would know it when you felt it.

First, get a food scale and start using it for all of your solid foods. Use measuring cups for all liquids. Next, once you're really sticking to your calorie deficit with the help of your food scale, adjust your activity level to *at least* active and eat the calories it tells you to eat. You don't get extra brownie points…

I've only tried the pancake syrup and didn't care for it. I haven't chanced anything else.

Life is going to happen. You're absolutely right. And with kids, you will always be trading one difficult stage for something else. It never gets easier. So with that in mind, why not start now and figure out how to push through and get where you want to be sooner rather than later? Be proactive instead of reactive.…

It may take a bit longer to figure out your numbers because of breastfeeding. If you're accurately tracking how many calories you're eating (like with a food scale) I would recommend a very slow and gradual reduction in calories. If you're not using a food scale, start using one and accurately track your food for several…

I have 5 kids. My oldest is 11 and my youngest will be 2 in April. I hung onto A LOT of baby weight between pregnancies and was also overweight at the start of my first pregnancy. I did end up losing 55 pounds immediately after my first was born (like 3 months immediately) and got to a healthy weight, but that was related…

Thank you! It's a process for sure. I've struggled in the past with the unneccessary guilt associated with trying to do it all for everyone and the depression, anxiety, and personal neglect it entails. One thing I've figured out is that if I'm unhappy with the current terms of the labor I'm doing for my family, then I need…
