One thing I would say is to be as kind to yourself as you would be to your bestie. If you have a setback-as we all will eventually have- encourage yourself instead of beat yourself up about it. Truly it's not any "setback" that makes us fail, its what we do next. When I treat myself with love, everything is brighter!

It concerns me that you say you eat the same thing every day...I've heard that thatbis not the best way and can lead to nutritional deficits.

One thing that I think would be difficult about this plan is that it keeps your body confused. I fast every day in the same window of time. Most days I dont get hungry until my eating hours are about to start...my body knows the routine. It has worked really well for me without excessive hunger.

I'm 49, been overweight my whole life. I am determined to lose the weight this time but I must admit I am worried about this. My face is plump and wrinkle free. I think its already started. The bags under my eyes have mostly deflated and now I have about a half inch patch of several wrinkles under each eye. Great.

A digital scale is the best investment you will make. You can zero out what's already in the bowl and keep building and weighing your meal. Incredibly helpful tool!!

1. Being able to get out of bed without pushing myself up with my arms. 2. My arms not resting on my fat sides when they are at rest. 3. Clipping/painting my toenails with less effort. 4. Seeing myself as an adult who is not overweight...I've never seen her but I'm pretty sure she's 🔥!!

This left an impression on me. Powerful testimony. Thank you. I think its funny that it makes me think of Doc in Cars when he's talking to Lightning McQeen about racing cars in dirt and he says to go right you've got to turn left. It's counterintuitive. Just like dieting slowly. I need patience.

You dont have to answer any personal question that makes you uncomfortable, weight related or not. There are 100 ways to skirt that question ( my favorite answer is "more than a few") and if they get very direct, then you get very direct back.

Yes, mfp is especially great because everyone on here is as obsessed with their food/health as you are! Because sometimes people around us just dont want to hear about it as much as we want to talk about it!
