@ceciliaslater So sorry for your loss. That was a very traumatic way to lose a friend. We just lost our lab, Belle, to cancer and that was bad, but I couldn't imagine your sudden & traumatic loss.

I'm just getting started trying to work up to a 5k. Years ago, I did two 5ks and they were good motivation for me. I'm setting a goal of 36 miles for myself.

I am working up to jogging a 5k. I have been in two 5k's in years past one of them jogged the whole thing the other jogged and walked. I find that having a goal motivates me so I am back at it. This time I want to jog the whole thing and then I will work on getting a better time or increasing my distance.

SW 217 GW 209 CW 207 - I managed to actually beat my goal by two pounds! I'm really happy and quite excited. I was nervous I wouldn't make the goal.
