  • Perfectly timed, my little girl arrived on her due date 19:07 weighing a healthy 7lb 8.5oz. Everything went to plan and I had the homebirth that I wanted. Natural birth in the birthing pool and I got an extra surprise as she was born completely in the sac. I'm soo in love its crazy
  • Congratulations on her arrival. Labour can be pretty traumatic but good news everything was ok in the end. Enjoy your cuddles.
  • Omg this is exciting, knowing that you have a date to get things going is amazing. Fingers crossed you don't need to be induced, you get to have baby snuggles soon.
  • Oh my, I have no idea how you both of you are still working, I haven't had more than 3-4 hours sleep a night for the last 4 weeks and was falling asleep at my desk. I've just got back for my 38 week appointment and was cheeky and asked for a sweep and was told no unless I wanted to go consultant lead and no home birth. She…
  • I'm due the 26th October, so I'm entering the any day now territory which is exciting and frustrating in equal parts. Today was officially my first day of maternity and the nesting instinct has kicked in, shame my body isn't up to the task. Two hours housework equals 12 hours back ache - been ill throughout the whole of…
  • I'm insanely jealous that you are enjoying holding your baby Lourdesong, I'm still on count down, 16 days til due date. Currently 28lb up but that's fine, figure I'll lose nearly a stone in the first week. Yeah djletbreton its my first home birth. The staff at the nearest hospital were less than pleasant when I delivered…
  • I'm over the moon for you, I got the all clear for my homebirth on Wednesday and cannot wait. Birthing pool is getting delivered on Friday and I'm hoping she shows her face shortly after that as she's weighing 6lb 8oz when I went for a scan on Wednesday with 4 weeks to go.
  • Fingers crossed for you djlebreton, this little one was laying across my belly transverse until Saturday teatime and was rocking on my birthing ball and she went head down and has stayed head down since and I'm 36 weeks today.
  • Just thought I'd share my recent comments at 35 weeks Wow have you not popped yet? You've only put weight on your belly and your *kitten*, You don't have massive pregnant mummy boobs, Other than looking really tired, you look great, I'm hoping when I get pregnant my feet don't look like that - making reference to varicose…
  • Im nearly 35 weeks and planning on breastfeeding as well, I'm not even going to entertain the idea of weight loss for the first six weeks. I think our bodies have been doing amazing miracles growing a baby and I think we should give ourselves a bit of a break. After that I'm planning on doing the Joe wicks 90 day challenge…
  • 5 and half weeks out, weight gain is 21lb so far and hoping it'll stay below 30lb but I haven't been able to eat healthy for the whole pregnancy due to extreme sickness and nausea so I eat what I can and its usually fatty carbs. Had my midwife appointment on Tuesday and the wheels are in motion for a home birth. Equipment…
  • I did really well today until I had my tea, sat down to watch tv and virtually a whole tub of Pringle style crisps to demolished, I have no self control at the moment. Good news is I've finished all the crisps in the house and there is only healthy food left. Just need some discipline when food shopping and that should see…
  • I totally appreciate where your coming from, I wasn't going to find out however I needed to comes to terms if it was the other way. My partner was very silent for the first hour after finding out. OMG after gaining only 4lbs at 19 weeks, I spent the week on an all inclusive holiday and gained a massive 8lbs at the end of…
  • Daddy got to enjoy little legs kicking last night, he says he never cries but he definitely had water in his eyes last night. Had our 20 week scan on Wednesday and found out we're having a girl. The sonographer wouldn't commit but she was confident. Going for a 4d scan in July, we'll be able to have a proper look at the…
  • I had my pelvic ultrasound and good news the baby hasn't destroyed my body yet, sickness is down to 4-5 times a day. I even got a cheeky look at the baby, the doctor advised she wasn't maternity trained but I could get an extra peak in advance of my 20 week scan. She asked if I wanted to look at her but I don't think she'd…
  • Fingers crossed for you on the 25th. I go that day for a pelvic ultrasound to check god knows what as the consultant referred me without telling me why and I haven't been able to get through to the secretary and my midwife is completely useless. I really miss the post run feeling but I can barely walk up two flights of…
  • How is everyone coping with second trimester eating? Any weird cravings yet? I'm obsessed with anything with vinegar, I go between pickled onions, pickled beetroot and pickled gherkins. How is everyone getting on with exercise? I stopped for 10 weeks due to hyperemesis however it's under control with meds at the moment so…
  • Thanks girls, I gave up and went to the doctors in the end, tiredness hot that bad and it made the sickness worse. Good news is the tablets they gave me for the sickness made me drowsy so I can now sleep for 5 hours a night. Swanwave, How did you find your first run? I'm hoping to get out this week for my first one and I…
  • You ladies have made me soo happy with the updates of no/little nausea at 13 weeks and actually having energy. I'm currently 11+5 and still feeling sick most of the time. Anyone have any hints and tips on sleeping, I've started suffering from insomnia which is definitely not helping with the fatigue and I really really…
  • had my midwife appointment today and she said it was safe to continue existing exercise routine as long as it didn’t involve pulling on the stomach muscles as all the muscles, ligaments and joints are a lot more relaxed and more likely to injure ourselves and to stop immediately if there was any bleeding or spotting until…
  • Well its been a bit of rollercoaster week, nausea and tiredness hit me full force, lots of nana naps and little to no exercise. I started spotting on Tuesday and doctor said it was a threatened miscarriage but had to wait until Thursday for an early scan. Good news is baby is perfectly healthy with a regular heartbeat but…
  • My first pregnancy I was in and out of hospital with dehydration and it was awful however I have found a glass of warm milk before bed and before I even open my eyes on a morning eating a ginger biscuit helps keep it at bay and then constantly snacking throughout the day with small meals of plain tasting food is helping…
  • I'm in as well, due date is approx 24th October, the day before daddys birthday. Doing all that crazy internet researching on what I should and shouldn't do, been 10 years since the last one. Super excited will struggle to keep it under wraps until 12 weeks.
