This is what I did--as long as the food is unopened, of course. Anything that is opened I evaluate based on how much I like it and how much I would "lose" by throwing it away. Helpful hint: most local food banks can accept canned food up to two years after expiration/best by date and boxed food (Hamburger Helper, e.g.) up…

Also, I don't eat much processed sugar at all anymore, so that part of the nutrition challenge should be good.

Good point. Tonight wasn't as bad as I thought I would be. They gave me a weirdly double portion of steak because I can't wat shellfish, and that was on the menu, but it wasn't great, so I didn't have any. The dessert didn't look fabulous enough to ear, so I ended up with another glass of wine. Win in my book!

That stinks. I just had this happen to me. Steady, incremental loss, then up two pounds. The ability of numbers to control us is amazing... Hang in there. You are getting your results.

I really like this board--seems like people similar to me here. My biggest problem is exercising after work. I have a fairly high-stress job that I love, but finishing the day and then going to the gym has been out of my bounds lately.
