Personally my worst time is the hour after work... tired, stressed, hungry, more inclined to binge and over compensate for hunger! Once I've eaten I can put my level head on. If I'm hungry I eat a bit more, if I'm bored I find something to do rather than heading to the fridge.

I think this is the main reason why I find it ok to stick within my calorie allowance! That said, if I'd been drinking alcohol and overeating like i was, I'd probably be somewhere around the 100lbs to lose mark  My diary is open to friends, if I were getting rude comments with no constructive criticism that…

You can make a chicken stew with leftover roast chicken, tinned tomatoes, onion, swede, parsnip, celery, carrot, stock and something to thicken it (I use gravy granules) for around 200 calories per portion. We get 6 portions out of our slow cooker. Slimming worlds tex-mex veggie chilli is approx. 200 calories if you divide…

Depends, sometimes I'll reach for tea, sugar free pop or a lower calorie hot chocolate (whittards if I have calories spare!). For mindless snacking veggies sticks... mostly celery, cucumber or tomatoes. Pickled onions or lower calorie fruit such as grapefruit or melon sometimes. Grapefruit and pickled onions are good…

I work chocolate in to my day, sometimes I've been good enough to allow a full sized chocolate bar (I normally choose buttons, so I can pick through more slowly), sometimes I've over-eaten a bit, so I will end up with a freddo-sized hit! I haven't quite weaned my tastebuds on to dark chocolate. I often choose bulky, low…

Apple jacks look / sound like grim, sugary kiddies cereal. I'd choose Kashi based on quantity and hope that it would be less likely to set my teeth on edge  (so in reality I would pick neither). I'd fit either in to my calorie intake.

I make cheese fit and it has to be full-fat mature cheddar. Using the fine side of the grater helps it to go further!

You're going to go through these weeks, it's not always guaranteed to be a loss / maintain if you're relying on scales. It makes the process more difficult than necessary if you can't come to terms with it, that I know from experience! Find a good support system, use that support system and stick with your plan. I hope…

Baby steps - it gets a little easier each time :) well done! Today I got on the spin bike and got a session in, I feel much fresher for it. It was harder than usual, exercising after a chippy meal sucks so I'm quite proud of myself for getting on with it.

Nope, think I set my goal in the supposed healthy range for my height, but I felt and looked good 7lbs above that several years ago. Will see how it goes. I'm focusing on shorter term goals for now, so I don't lose sight of what I'm trying to accomplish - if I constantly thought about the 'end goal' from a weight point of…

I've never really enjoyed fast food, it is an absolute a last resort for me.

Mother-in-law wanted fish and chips, so that's what we had!

I've never liked the feeling over being overly full and have never been able to eat a 3 course meal, it's too much food. That said, my appetite has regulated itself a fair bit even in 2 weeks. I had cakes and nibbly things yesterday and stopped a good few bites before my 'normal' full capacity. Today we had fish and chips…

Alcohol isn't an issue, but my food intake tends to increase at the weekend... more scope for going out. A baby shower, Birthday and Mothers day this weekend. The potential for naughty treats and meals out has been higher than ideal. I'm no good at estimating, so I've just tried to be sensible. I've avoided stuffing my…

I've been fitting my treats in to my calorie allocation (2 weeks in, its going well), but today I deliberately took a 90 minute hilly walk in the attempt to slightly offset afternoon tea at a baby shower. (I also ate a bit lighter for breakfast and tea). I think it's more about working with what you have, exercise gives me…

I dropped 6lbs in my first week, following the mfp recommended calories as a starting point. I upped my calories a bit from there and I've lost 1lb this week.

2 tbsp PB2, good handful of spinach, banana, coconut water and ice - blend until smooth. This keeps me full until lunch and I like it. Otherwise, the other portable breakfast options are a porridge pot with some seed mix, or greek style yogurt with a chunky breakfast cereal (granola for example). I sometimes have fruit and…

My sugar intake has improved since I started logging, mostly because I'm not ploughing huge bars of milk chocolate, but it's still higher than it probably should be. I've had some days where I still want to eat far too much chocolate, but I've been making do with a smaller portion, or some sweets instead. The smaller…

I'm on a 9 day streak, so, errm.... yeah... not the longest! I'm finding it quite pleasant so far though, so I'm hopeful I will be continuing

Bemused at how the term 'clean eating' could cause such a long debate.

Congratulations on your weight loss!

My measurements differ by about a 0.5 to 1 inch... bigger on the left for me. It's quite normal, few bodies are perfectly symmetrical

I drink quite a lot of herbal / fruit teas, but I suppose they're a bit of an acquired taste. I drink some tea / coffee with milk, never tried creamer but never looked for it to be fair! I like the coffee syrups, but you can get sugar free versions of those and they taste reasonable. Not much of an alcohol drinker and tend…

Hello :) I am new to MFP, started logging my food last week. I have targeted my over-eating habits to accidental daytime starvation ones (I just wasn't consuming adequate breakfast / lunch calories). I'm finding it easier to avoid evening chocolate binges since I generally balanced my calorie intake! I have found that…
